Laluna - Grenada - Boutique Resort

Rooms & Suites: 16

Laluna is small stylish hotel set on a beautiful wild beach in the south west corner of Grenada, an island famed for its lush natural beauty.

The hotel has 16 beautifully furnished cottages, each with private plunge pools and verandahs. The pool and main area is superb with Indonesian sofas, natural fabrics and stunning views of the Caribbean sea. The food is eclectic and the atmosphere laid back. Architect Gabriella Giuntoli — who created villas for Giorgio Armani and Sting on Italy's chic island hideaway of Pantelleria —designed the 16 multicolored stucco cottages that make up LaLuna, at Quarantine Point in Morne Rouge on the rocky southern coast of Grenada. The biggest attention-getter is the main house, with its dramatic roof of elephant grass inspired by similar ones in Vietnam. Grenada has two distinct seasons: dry and rainy. The dry season is from January to May; the rest of the year is the rainy season, although the rainfall doesn't last long. The average temperature is 80°F. Because of constant trade winds, there's little humidity.; Grenada is outside the hurricane belt. The second weekend in August is when to catch Carnival, the island's biggest and busiest event.
