In celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, Conrad Dublin debuts a list of spirited events for guests to enjoy on-property, including a Teeling Whiskey accommodations package and authentic programming, food and beverage offerings and décor to offer visitors an exclusive Irish experience just in time for the holiday.
Travelers who book a stay at Conrad Dublin can soak in the sights, sounds and smells of a fully-operational urban distillery in the heart of Dublin by booking the Conrad Dublin Spirit Experience Package. As the first “new distillery” and the only operational distillery in the city, Teeling Whiskey’s outpost has quickly become Dublin’s most sought-after distillery for whiskey aficionados and travelers with an interest in the city’s long-standing history of the spirit. In addition to accommodations and breakfast at the recently-renovated Conrad Dublin, guests will receive a private tour of the Teeling Whiskey Distillery followed by a Trinity tasting of award-winning whiskeys and the option to relax with a hand-crafted cocktail at the distillery’s Bang Bang or Finishing Rooms bars.
Starting at $490, the Conrad Dublin Spirit Experience Package is available through April 31, 2018 and includes:
- An overnight weekend stay at the recently-renovated hotel
- Private tour of the Teeling Distillery followed by an Irish Coffee or cocktail demo in one of Teeling’s bars, the Bang Bang or Finishing Room
- Breakfast at The Coburg
- Package must be booked at least two days in advance; Teeling Distillery tour timeslots are subject to availability (on Saturday or Sunday every 20 minutes between 10:00am and 5:20pm)
“St. Patrick’s Day is our favorite holiday in Dublin, and we are excited to share it with guests staying at the hotel through our exclusive partnership with Teeling Whiskey and on-property activations,” said Martin Mangan, general manager of Conrad Dublin. “We want visitors to experience the day with a true Irish perspective, whether it is with a sip of local whiskey, a peek at a hidden gem or by cheering for our favorite sports team.”
Conrad Dublin will be festively decorated in St. Patrick’s Day décor during the week of the holiday. Additionally, guest relations manager Liam Ó hAnnracháin, a born and bred Dubliner, will lead complimentary, daily walking tours throughout the city for an authentic look at the Irish capital. Liam will guide visitors around the quaint and picturesque metropolis, sharing history and anecdotes that only a true Irishman would know and are not found in the pages of a guidebook.
On St. Patrick’s Day, Conrad Dublin invites guests to escape the crowds and watch the nail-biting final games of the Six Nations Rugby Championship at the hotel’s Lemuel’s Bar and Lounge or Alfie Byrne's by Galway Bay Brewery. Guests can ease nerves of viewing England, Ireland, Italy, Scotland, France and Wales duke it out by enjoying a pint of Guinness, or one of Alfie Bryne’s 33 craft beers, without having to fight to get a drink at a crowded local pub. Guests staying on-property on March 17 will have exclusive access to screenings of the match set up in a Pop-Up Lounge in the sleek Iveagh Suite, Conrad Dublin’s newest meeting and event space inspired by Dublin’s secret gardens with themed light bites and drinks available for purchase.
Additional activities will include the lighting of Conrad Dublin in a cheerful, green glow, a specialty “A Long Way to Tipperary” St. Patrick’s Day cocktail, live trad music, a balloon artist and a talented face painter to adorn both adults and children’s faces alike.
