Starwood Luxury Collection Mystique & Vedema, Santorini Debut New Restaurants
The world-renowned Mystique Resort opens the much anticipated ASEA, an upscale Japanese restaurant and Vedema Resort debuts the new seafood themed, ALATI, continuing the resorts' and destination's commitment to evolving gastronomy and dedication to local produce and ingredients. Both currently open and taking reservations.

Mystique, known as one of the most iconic hideaways in Santorini, invites travelers to experience its new, artisan Japanese ASEA Lounge Restaurant, a name inspired from the words Asia and Sea, which are the dominant elements of the space. The restaurant presents a new, gastronomic culture, with influence from the sea, using the freshest, locally sourced ingredients.
The menu is inspired by accuracy and discipline, a nod to the key elements of Japanese cuisine. Simplicity with a twist characterizes the sushi selection, which highlights the exceptional quality of the fresh seafood sourced on a daily basis. Menu favorites already include the sunset roll (spicy tuna, scallion, avocado, cucumber) which is aptly named for the iconic Santorini sunset and a fresh salad featuring wakame seaweed with king crab meat, spicy mayonnaise, chives & ikura.

Its stylish design (which is entirely outdoors in the former Charisma restaurant space), is an architectural approach of designer Stamos Hondrodimos, that has developed a terrace on various levels, as an exact echo of the geomorphological terraces of the island, with full respect to the natural beauty of Santorini. The space effortlessly combines traditional Cycladic rocky landscape with a modern inspiration, giving way to one of the most stunning views of the famous Caldera.
Vedema, built around a 400 years-old winery and situated in the medieval village of Megalochori, invites guests old and new to experience its new seafood restaurant, Alati.

Alati, which means salt in Greek, features an innovative seafood menu created by the resort's executive chef Melina Chomata. Fresh fish from the Aegean accented with farm-to-table ingredients that the island is known for, take diners on a gastronomic journey. Chomata also uses many recipes carried down through her family, yet always with a refined touch. Grilled or pan fried fish and crustaceans include lobster, prawns, swordfish, sea bream and many more are accented by starters like tuna tartare with the island's famous cherry tomatoes, iconic capers and Kalamata olives.

With a creative designing concept, by talented designer Stamos Hondrodimos, that is located on different levels within the resort, Alati offers two distinctive dining experiences: one is movie set worthy, located within the stone walls of a 400 year old winery, surrounded by candlelight, while the upper newly redesigned terrace, with elements and motives inspired by the Greek summer and expressed in a modern and elegant way, is open to the stars with views to the neighbouring vineyards and the traditional village.
