A French-trained, Indonesian culinary visionary who has garnered international acclaim and a storied career at COMO Hotels & Resorts, Chef Wijaya arrives to pioneer an original, culinary offering that places elevated wellness at the heart of every guest stay.  As the first personal chef-in-residence at a Hamptons hotel, Chef Wijaya will forgo the traditional restaurant model in favor of more intimate, personalized experiences—including custom menu planning, cooking demonstrations, personalized in-cottage dining, and ongoing culinary consultations—all designed to deepen each guest’s connection to wellness through food.

Chef Wijaya brings decades of global culinary experience to The Roundtree. Trained in classic French techniques and grounded in the culinary heritage of his native Bali, he rose to prominence through executive roles at COMO Hotels & Resorts, leading the acclaimed Glow restaurant and Kudus House at COMO Shambhala Estate where he also oversaw the culinary experiences for noted public figures, celebrities and global gastro travelers. He has developed wellness-driven dining programs across COMO properties worldwide, from Bhutan to Turks & Caicos, and is known for his “Taste of COMO” culinary pop-ups that have been adapted by the brand globally. His approach blends mindful sourcing, plant-forward ingredients, and the healing power of food. Widely regarded as a pioneer in redefining wellness cuisine, Chef Wijaya creates menus that are as intentional as they are inspiring.

Menus will be curated to reflect their preferences, and designed to fit the occasion, whether seeking energizing solo dining or relaxed, family-style dinners under the stars. Newly created multi-faceted wellness programming and packages will feature exclusive collaborations with local partners.
