Why You Can't Visit Dubai Without Experiencing Jumeirah Burj Al Arab

Jumeirah Burj Al Arab celebrates its 25th anniversary in December 2024, and while Dubai may have evolved and changed around it, the sail-shaped hotel remains one of the city’s must-visit destinations, renowned for its opulent interiors and unmatched levels of hospitality.

It’s not just overnight guests who are transported into the realm of truly immersive luxury, though, with one-of-a-kind dining and out-of-this-world experiences enticing all of the emirate’s most discerning visitors. Here are three unique ways to tick this icon on the Dubai skyline off your bucket-list…

SIP ON LIQUID GOLD
The most talked-about item on the Jumeirah Burj Al Arab menu, the Signature Gold Cappuccino is a smooth creation of premium coffee and fresh milk blended with 24 carat gold. Adorned with shimmering gold flakes, the decadent drink is served on fine-bone, gold-gilded china alongside a Grand Cru Guanaja chocolate marshmallow. Enjoy at Sahn Eddar, the enticing cafe-lounge at the base of the world’s tallest atrium, with panoramic views of the Dubai coastline.

DIVE WHILE YOU DINE
Ristorante L’Olivo at Al Mahara transports guests into an underwater playground, with a creative menu of Italian seafood dishes served against the mesmerising backdrop of Jumeirah Burj Al Arab’s floor-to-ceiling aquarium. Designed to make guests feel as though they are submerged under the ocean amongst colourful sea life, additional interior touches include chairs shaped like clam shells. Order the tasting menu for an experience curated by Chef Andrea Migliaccio - of Capri’s two-Michelin-starred Ristorante L’Olivo - or choose from signature dishes such as lemon tagliolini and local red mullet.

TEA WITH A VIEW
For the pinnacle of afternoon tea, head to Skyview Bar and Lounge, soaring 200 meters above sea level on the 27th floor of the hotel. Curated by Executive Pastry Chef, Tom Coll, the menu includes savories such as zucchini petals and king crab tartelette, followed by sweets including a mango flower roll and hazelnut lemon swirl. Marvel at panoramic views of the city skyline and Arabian Gulf while indulging in the decadent treats, served atop a Burj Al Arab-shaped cake stand.
