Auberge Saint-Antoine Quebec City Named Best Hotel in Canada
Auberge Saint-Antoine is celebrated by locals and visitors alike for its unique blend of historical charm and modern amenities, combined with an impeccable level of service. Once a 31-room inn, the hotel underwent a renovation in 2003 that quickly turned into an archeological excavation. Thousands of artifacts dating as far back as the 1700s were unearthed on the property and used in the architecture and décor of the redesigned guest rooms and common areas. The hotel's 300-year old beams, original stone walls and slate stone floors provide a marked contrast to the state-of-the-art cinema/auditorium, gym and business centre.

The Readers' Choice Awards Gala was held on Thursday, October 15th in New York City. In past years the Condé Nast Readers' Survey has been limited to a select number of participants but this year the magazine adopted a new approach, allowing all readers to participate, resulting in more then 25,000 responses.

The awards, featured in the November issue of Condé Nast Traveler, rate each candidate in the hotel category on a five-point scale based on the following criteria: food/dining, location, overall design, rooms and service.

A leader in the hotel industry, Auberge Saint-Antoine strives to provide guests with a unique and authentic Quebec City experience. In 2009, the hotel was recognized by Travel + Leisure Magazine as one of the top "Small City Hotels" and among the "Top 500 Hotels in the World." Most recently, General Manager, David Mounteer was given the honour of "Hotelier of the Year" by Hotelier Magazine's distinguished Pinnacle Awards.
