For those travelers who are always on the lookout for the newest destination, I wanted to pass along a few exciting new openings and renovations that are coming up in 2020.

Monkey Island Estate's Private Residences (pictured)

YTL Hotels’ Monkey Island Estate in Bray, just 40 minutes outside of London, just launched six beautiful Private Residences, providing travelers with a choice of charming period accommodations. The Residences blend classic style with contemporary and luxury comforts, each with its own intriguing history and story. Guests staying in the Private Residences can enjoy the freedom, space and privacy of staying with friends and family, while taking advantage of the hospitality and services of the hotel, located just a few minutes away. The new offerings include Long White Cloud, Brook House and Sundial Cottage, each with three to four-bedrooms, Bray House and Lavender house, located in the heart of the village of Bray, and the one-bedroom Dormer Cottage.

Higashiyama Niseko Village, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve

The new Higashiyama Niseko Village, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve is set to open on December 15, 2020. The first Ritz-Carlton Reserve in a ski destination, the property will boast 43 rooms and seven suites, three restaurants, a spa and onsen, access to Niseko Village Ski School and winter activities, two golf courses, a PURE activity center and an exclusive team of year-round mountain and nature Higashiyama Reservists.

Offering the ultimate gateway to Niseko's adventurous mountains, unique culture and tradition, Higashiyama Niseko Village, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve will give guests an exquisite experience. The property will be centrally located next to the Village Express in the heart of Niseko Village, within the skiable terrain of Niseko United and at the base of Mount Niseko Annupuri. Niseko Village offers exceptional off-piste terrain and a wide range of runs for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. Visitors of all ages can also experience a host of other exhilarating activities such as snowmobiling, snowshoeing, snow rafting, and reindeer sledding, among others.

Singita Sabora Tented Camp

Singita Sabora’s extensive redesign is a modern interpretation of a classic African safari set to debut this September. Striking the perfect balance between the spirit of classic tented safaris and timeless modernity, Singita Sabora Tented Camp is located right on the Serengeti plains, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the camp’s unrivaled setting.

Featuring nine tented suites set close to the ground, the camp echoes the earthy color palette of the bush, while modern interpretations of campaign furniture evoke the romance of East African adventures. Each immaculate suite offers sweeping views, a meditation deck, a private fitness area and a secluded outdoor sala with daybeds, a perfect spot to marvel at the wildlife passing by. In the main lodge, a unique “Guest Deli” is filled with gourmet bites from which guests can select treats to enjoy in their suites. There’s a separate pool area, two intimate dining rooms and an open-plan bar and lounge.

Offering superb game-viewing opportunities all year round, the camp is also set on the Great Wildebeest Migration route; and guided game walks on foot further enhance experiencing the Serengeti plains.
