Accommodation
Although there are plenty of hotels, Mykonos Villas and rooms to rent, you may find it difficult to find one that suits you, if you book late. So our first advice would be to book your accommodation as fast as you start planning your visit.
If you want to be near everything, you should start searching among the hotels and rooms available in Chora, as this is the capital of the island and most activities take place here. You must have in mind, though, that it may get noisy even during the night, as there are many bars, clubs and restaurants in Chora.
If you prefer a more isolated place to stay, you should look for a villa. There are many Mykonos Luxury Villas available for a short term rental and you will find some real gems among them.
Restaurants
Tasty food and fine dining are also in abundance here. To make sure you will be able to sit at your favorite restaurant, you will need to make a reservation in advance.
Restaurants in Mykonos vary from Greek style tavernas to exceptionally sophisticated fine dining facilities. Almost all of them offer dishes with fresh fish and seafood, as Mykonos is the perfect place to try different kinds of seafood cooked in different ways. Mykonos is a fishermen island and all the fish and seafood will be very fresh and tasty.
Transportation
For your transportation on the island you can rent a car or a bike or you should try the more luxurious ones like limousines, yachts and helicopters. There are a lot of VIP transportation agencies on the island and even some of the bigger hotels have their own limousines and yachts for their guests to rent.
Most hotels have their own mini buses and you can arrange some of your transportation through their reception, not only from or to the airport but also to Chora and some beaches.

Mykonos is a party island and this means you can find parties almost everywhere and at any time of day or night during summer. Specific beaches such as Psarrou , Paraga, Panormos, Paradise and Super Paradise become huge dance floors as the night falls. The same applies to some neighborhoods in Chora where people dance and drink on the narrow stone-paved streets and alleys.

Delos Island
Delos is a very small island on the west side of Mykonos. It is a Unesco world heritage site and one of the most important archaeological, historical and mythological sites in Greece. Apollo, the ancient Greek god of light, and goddess Artemis were born here.
Visitors who admire the ancient Greek civilization will find a lot of interesting things to see here. Some of the most important archeological sites are the Terrace of the Lions, the Temple of the Delians, the Doric Temple of Isis, the Minoan Fountain, the Oikos of the Naxians and the House of Dionysus. In Delos on-site museum you will see some of the best ancient Greek artifacts and sculptures that were collected from different parts of the island.
Delos has also some of the most beautiful and secluded beaches, accessible only by the sea. You can visit the island by public or rented boats. It is forbidden to spend the night on Delos but you can visit the beaches during the day.
Right next to Delos lays the islet of Rhenia, which also has some nice, isolated beaches to visit.
