6 Places Not to Miss in Puerto Vallarta

Villa Premiere Boutique Hotel & Romantic Getaway is conveniently located to all the tourist attractions around Puerto Vallarta. Located beachfront on Banderas Bay, at the entrance to the city’s historic downtown, the property is close to both great shopping and exciting nightlife, and just minutes away from all the popular sites that make any visit to this beautiful region even more memorable.

Here, we share a list of must-see places to visit while vacationing at Villa Premiere Boutique Hotel & Romantic Getaway in sunny Puerto Vallarta:

1) Malecón - Boardwalk: The iconic Malecón has exhibited the town’s vibrant spirit since its foundation. With sculptures by renowned artists, arts and crafts galleries, shops and restaurants, this seafront walkway is considered the local meeting point par excellence. Along its almost 1 kilometer length, you’ll find local and international restaurants to pamper your palate while you admire the emblematic Puerto Vallarta sunsets. Once the sun goes down, a whole different side of this unique promenade is shown. Prepare for open-air performances and artistic expressions at Los Arcos amphitheater or, later at night, visit its many open-air bars and clubs.

2) Our Lady of Guadalupe Church: One of the most visited places in Puerto Vallarta is also the symbol of the city, renowned worldwide. In this iconic church, genuine works of art can be found: paintings, and sculptures made of wood and marble. Its beautiful architecture and its famous crowned steeple are the meeting point for the thousands of pilgrims who visit it all year round — especially in December, to celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

3) Romantic Zone: A fascinating, colorful and cosmopolitan neighborhood is waiting for you on the other side of the Cuale River. This area is known as the LGBT neighborhood, with trendy restaurants, plazas, coffee shops and a lively nightlife to enjoy after sundown. Also known as Olas Altas, the quarter attracts visitors with its authentic Mexican style, cobblestone streets and picturesque facades. Art and culture play an important role in this area. Visitors will find boutiques, galleries with more than a 60-year history, and local and foreign artwork displayed among the streets.

4) Los Muertos Pier: Re-inaugurated in 2013 as part of Puerto Vallarta’s restructuring program, this beautiful pier, located in the heart of Los Muertos Beach, was designed by architect José de Jesús Torres Vega. It offers a beautiful walkaway that allows its visitors to enjoy the spectacular sunsets the destination is known for. In addition to its unique aesthetics, Los Muertos Pier is a docking point for the panga boats that offer trips to beaches located on Banderas Bay’s South Shore. Today, the structure has become a symbol and landmark of Puerto Vallarta, as well as an important attraction on Francisca Rodríguez Street and its surroundings.

5) Art Galleries: Puerto Vallarta is known for its cultural and artistic inheritance. Various downtown galleries collaborate with renowned Mexican and foreign artists to put together incredible painting, ceramics, blown glass and sculpture collections, as well as other artistic expressions. The weekly Art Walk actively contributes to making art available to both visitors and residents.

6) Lázaro Cárdenas Park: Also now known as The Tile Park, it is a public space where unique mosaic designs embellished into its benches, columns, planters and walls turn it into an open-air gallery. At this same spot, on Saturday mornings during high season, the Olas Altas Farmers Market sets up. This is the first market in the bay with a handmade-homegrown concept, where you will find one-of-a-kind items made by local artisans, fresh produce, local and international delights, live music and much more.

A great way to explore all six attractions is by bicycle. Adventurous guests and cycling lovers, however, know that traveling by plane with your bicycle is not practical. Villa Premiere solves this with its rent-free bicycle service. At concierge, you can ask for bike loan service to enjoy a ride to the historic center of Puerto Vallarta and admire the natural scenery or the gallery of statues, take a picture for Instagram or enjoy a refreshing drink in one of the picturesque bars downtown. The service is included for all guests for a maximum of 2 hours per ride.

Unlike any other all-inclusive resort, Villa Premiere Boutique Hotel & Romantic Getaway features the “All-Inclusive Gourmet” plan. This is an unparalleled culinary experience that guarantees unlimited access to three exceptional a la carte on site restaurants, premium drinks, 24-hour room service, in-room mini-bar and theme nights with outdoor dinners — all to guarantee unforgettable day and evening dining experiences.
