Al Bustan Palace InterContinental Muscat in Oman Adds Six Senses Spa
Set on a hill top overlooking the property's palatial grounds, sea and Oman's Hajjar Mountains, the spa will offer guests and visitors exceptional services from facials to massages and body treatments unique to Six Senses Spas as well as yoga and meditation facilities.

The spa occupies a spacious area of more than 2300 square metres split over two levels and was designed by Six Senses Resorts & Spas in conjunction with P49 Design interior designers and Bangkok-based Febraur architects. The inspiration for the architectural and interior design came from traditional Omani and Islamic architecture to complement the exterior and interior design of the Al Bustan Palace InterContinental Muscat, as well as immerse guests in an enriching and local setting.

The spa will also feature the Six Senses 'SLOW LIFE' menu which concentrates on treatments using local ingredients that are produced within a 30 kilometre diameter only – expanding the spa's exclusive services to the Al Bustan Palace InterContinental Muscat.

Each spa treatment can be individualised to cater to the guest's needs for a rewarding impact. The treatments will be administered by skilled, experienced therapists who embrace Six Senses Spas' 'Balancing Senses' philosophy, which is founded on that belief that the spa experience may only be achieved once all five senses have been nurtured.

The Six Senses Spa at Al Bustan Palace Intercontinental Muscat is expected to be officially open by mid 2011 and will include: 16 treatment rooms, private facilities for ladies and gentlemen, sauna and steam rooms, as well as membership-based ladies only club with private access to the beach.
