Al Fresco Delights at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona
Located in the heart of Barcelona’s Eixample district, both Mimosa Garden, a lush, courtyard oasis, and Terrat, a rooftop retreat with panoramic views of the city, are ideal spots for enjoying the seductive Catalan summer.

Iconic sights such as Gaudi’s La Sagrada Família and Casa Batlló can be seen from Terrat. Furnished with Patricia Urquiola furniture, the terrace will have additional seating this year and features a dipping pool. Guests will be able to choose from a wide range of light meals, fresh salads and grill options during the day. Specialties include ‘Raf tomato, chive and tuna belly salad’ or ‘light hummus with pitta bred’ prepared by Lebanese Chef Ali.

During the evening, Terrat will offer traditional dishes from Mexico, Peru and Japan, including Japanese-Peruvian fusion Nikkei recipes such as ‘Seabass tiradito marinated in miso and mustard’, or delicious sushi.

Terrat’s new cocktail menu created by its expert barmen is ideal for enjoying at sunset or after dinner, and includes the ‘Huascaran’, a blend of Peruvian and Japanese flavors, with Pisco, citronella, elderflower liqueur, yuzu & angostura bitters. Open from 11am until late evening, this is a magical place in which to unwind and discover the city’s skyline.

Located within a traditional inner courtyard, the landscaped Mimosa Garden owes its charm to a combination of sun, nature and privacy. Guests will be able to treat themselves to classic sangria and tinto de verano specially created with Mimosa syrup, and a great selection of Andulsian-inspired tapas including ‘Spanish potato salad’ and ‘Ibérico cured ham served with tomato brushed bread’. Open from 11am to 11pm, this is the perfect oasis to enjoy al fresco local flavors in a relaxing atmosphere this summer.
