Amanresorts Receives Top Awards for Excellence
Andrew Harper's Hideaway Report has named Aman at Summer Palace, Beijing The Hideaway of the Year in its January 2010 issue. This is the first time any hotel has received a 99-point rating from Andrew Harper, who visits hotels and resorts anonymously for his reviews. The eight-suite Villa Milocer, the first phase of Aman Sveti Stefan in Montenegro, was designated a 2010 Grand Award winner. Award winners represent the crème de la crème of hotels and resorts that Andrew Harper has visited during the previous 12 months.

The Gallivanter's Guide, an eight-page privately published monthly newsletter with the aim of unearthing idyllic places for the dedicated traveler, highlights the Amanresorts of Indonesia (Amandari, Amankila, Amanusa, Amanjiwo and Amanwana) in its annual Editor's Choice Awards. The editors, Lynn Middlehurst and David Maslin, personally review only the best hotels and resorts in the world, ranging from classic Grandes Dames to gourmet 10-room inns. "All five resorts remain not merely architecturally relevant but cutting-edge, and the subtle changes that have occurred over the years have reflected guests' needs rather than fashion fads. This is Aman at its very, very best," note the editors.

In the same issue, the subscribers to The Gallivanter's Guide, located in 42 countries around the world, weigh in with their top picks of hotels and resorts in a range of categories. An impressive list of Amanresorts has been cited on the poll:
