Suite Dreams: Amsterdam's Hotel De L'Europe All-Suite Dutch Masters Wing
Each suite has a different yet exacting replica painting from the nearby Rijksmuseum National Gallery– a full-picture reproduction plus two magnified thumbnail details measuring 2 x 3m, fusing verve and panache with hints of history. The Dutch Masters Wing is temporarily home to Hoofdstad Brasserie and the globally iconic Freddy's Bar, named for Alfred “Freddy” Heineken who entertained here, and donated the original Dutch Masters paintings adorning the walls. Hotel De L'Europe's original Rondeel Building, a city-designated landmark and long considered an oasis of calm in the midst of Amsterdam's buzzing city center, is undergoing a top-to-bottom refurbishment (anticipated completion April 2011). To kick off the wing's first holiday season, the hotel is featuring a Stylishly Suite package which includes:

• 2 nights in a junior suite, an intimate, handsomely appointed studio perfect for short stays or quick city breaks with a choice of river or city views, or a superior suite which is an oversized loft-style studio overlooking the city with the same amenities of a junior suite plus a king-size bed, larger living quarters/seating area and additional closet space.
• Daily breakfast
• Holiday high tea (including festive cocktails) at Freddy's Bar
• One 30-minute horse carriage tour of the city expertly navigated by Gerard and his 6-year old geldings Quinn and Koblentz

Each beautifully appointed suite offers 21st-century amenities designed to evoke a sense of sophistication in a relaxed atmosphere. Guests will drift into a blissful sleep on eco-friendly COCO-MAT top-mattresses covered by 300 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets with a varied pillow selection while music from the Bose sound systems wafts through the room. Stately marble and mosaic-tiled bathrooms with large tub, bath mirror with built-in television, plus Villeroy & Boch showers with separate rain and hand-held faucets add to the refined surroundings. Nespresso coffee makers and mini-bars are available for early mornings and late-night cravings. Safety deposit boxes, flat-screen LCD TV-DVD, iPod docking station and high-speed Internet keep guests secure and connected. Guests may enjoy a heated indoor swimming pool and fitness center with panoramic eye-level views of the Amstel River.

The package is priced at $1,550/€ 1.119 for a junior suite or $2,260/€ 1.629 for a superior suite, and valid from November 28, 2010 through December 28, 2010 subject to availability.
