Amsterdam's The Dylan Unveils 10 New Hotel Rooms & Suites
Drawing inspiration from the warm colorations of the Luxora butterfly, the rooms feature copper antique mirrors surrounding rich metallic green leather headboards with mother-of-pearl and jade detailing. The refined fabrics and burnished furniture lend a warm, elegant ambiance to the Loxura rooms, each of which features views into the hotel's inner tranquil garden.

Designed in collaboration with FG Style, a partnership of English and Dutch designers Colin P. Finnegan and Gerard Glintmeijer, each of the new rooms features a signature wooden drinks cabinet, exclusive to The Dylan, finished with silver leaf inside and mother-of-pearl handles. In keeping with The Dylan's individualized design scheme, each Loxura room features a mix of vivid velvet chairs, hand-woven rugs on painted original plank floors, side tables and desks made from reclaimed, petrified wood with shell and horn details and wooden shutters. Every bathroom utilizes beige perlato marble surfaces with built-in make-up areas and accompanying ottoman.

While every room at The Dylan has a distinctive charm, the former room number 10 has been renamed The Dylan Thomas Suite as the centerpiece of the new Loxura rooms. Named after the 20th century Welsh poet after whom the hotel is also named, The Dylan Thomas Suite is characterized by a unique combination of colorful and plush furniture in the sitting area, the signature drinks cabinet, a silver-leaf make-up table, and Loxura-style king bed flanked by antique closets facing oversized shuttered windows opening to the hotel's inner garden.

For a taste of Amsterdam this spring and summer, The Dylan is offering a special “High Wine” package that includes one night accommodations for two, breakfast, a special gift, and High Wine for two, priced beginning at 405 euros. Served every afternoon from 3 to 7 p.m., High Wine draws on the Michelin-starred kitchen of Executive Chef Dennis Kuipers to present a four-course seasonal menu of savory bites paired with fine wines from the restaurant's cellar.

Situated directly on the Keizersgracht, one of Amsterdam's most famous and picturesque canals which were declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2010, The Dylan is located in the center of the trendy shopping district "de negen straatjes" (the nine streets) featuring galleries, antique shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants. Only a stroll away from the city's main attractions, The Dylan makes it easy for guests to discover historic and cultural venues such as the Anne Frank House, Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum, Hermitage and the famous Flower Market, and then return to the intimate atmosphere and personal service of the hotel. The Dylan is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
