Set within CHI, The Spa, the one-bedroom Manumbalik Villa is unique within the spa and comes equipped with its own steam room, outdoor tub and vitality pool.

The Manumbalik Villa derives its name from a Cebuano term meaning “to restore and revive oneself” and can be found within the spa village of CHI, The Spa which sprawls over 10,000 square meters and boasts private spa treatment villas, gardens, pools, and baths. The villa is appointed in Shangri-La luxury including a 70-inch flat screen television with Apple mirroring capabilities and special spa amenities that include an exclusive range of organic bathroom products. Graceful Asian-inspired architecture, well-designed interiors, a poolside pavilion and serene landscaping complete the private sanctuary.

During the Spa Villa Getaway, guests can choose from over 35 customized therapies drawn from ancient healing traditions, philosophies and rituals of Asia, including traditional therapies of the Philippines. A highlight of the CHI, The Spa menu is Philippine Hilot, a treatment based on ancient diagnostic methods passed down through generations of Philippine culture. During the treatment, warm coconut oil and banana leaves are placed over the body and the healing hands of the Hilot practitioner detect areas of energy imbalance and blockages.

In tropical Cebu, CHI, The Spa also offers treatments featuring locally-grown botanical products with therapeutic properties. Luxurious body scrubs include the Traditional Barako Coffee Bean Scrub, which exfoliates and detoxifies the body, as well the Mango Passion Fruit Tropical Saltmousse Glow, which removes dead skin cells and impurities while the Saltmousse leaves the skin firm, bright and invigorated.  Guests can also choose from traditional massages including the Deep Tissue Massage and Healing Himalayan Salt Stone Massage. Facials, hair and body treatments include the Anti-Aging Facial, Intensely Nourishing Hair Treatment, and Soothing After-Sun Wrap, which rehydrates skin after traveling or a day in the Cebu sun.

For Manumbalik Villa guests, a dedicated butler is on hand 24 hours a day to assist with arrangements, including organizing a complimentary and exclusive water yoga flow session.  The low-impact activity adopts the posture and principles of yoga, focusing on breathing and mindfulness in an aquatic environment.

Guests of the private Villa Manumbalik can also enjoy the resort’s 13 hectares of greenery, landscaped gardens, two pools, 350-meter white sand beach and the six-hectare Shangri-La Marine Sanctuary teeming with marine life in its coral reef.
