The line of bespoke bags and travel accessories for hotels and resorts around the globe is now selling at Four Seasons Punta Mita, Cap Maison in St. Lucia and Vomo Resort, Fiji.
“It was a natural transition for me,” said Mitsakos, who is also the president and CEO of AMPR, a New York-based PR agency specializing in travel, tourism and restaurant clients. “Resort style demands both functionality and effortless style and that collection translates into a unisex line of simple bags for the seasoned traveler.”
Bags incorporate a logo or subtle mark, or a simple nod to its sense of place. Sleep masks are also a whimsy hallmark of the line. “I made a python sleep mask for myself for fun,” said Mitsakos. “When three flight attendants and two passengers on a flight asked where I bought it, I knew I had to put it into production.”
Handcrafted under the shadows of the Acropolis of Athens, the new line of handbags are wholly designed by Mitsakos who launched the brand to raise the profile of the country's old world artisans, creating jobs, investment and innovation. Her main line collection features various styles ideal for resort boutiques.
Combining centuries-old techniques with modern trends, Wanderlista is defined by a sense of voyage, and inspired by Andria's lifetime of traveling. Her passion for textiles, shape and substance are reflected in each design, which is punctuated by functional styles, a resort-ready color palette and bespoke hardware she designs and produces.
A textile and hotel furniture and interior accessory line is also in the works.
