Bahamas Adrian Fox Brings Seminal Support to Caribbean Natives

The internet has undoubtedly been one of the great equalizers of our time, even in areas you might not expect it.

It has brought newfound prosperity to all 4 corners of the globe, gave everyone a voice, and connected people across boundaries of race, wealth, and ideology.

And in the realm of social justice, it has brought the trials and tribulations of marginalized communities front and center.

Such is exactly the case with what's happening now in the Bahamas.

Social justice advocate Adrian Fox, native of the Bahamas, has brought the plight of the Caribbean peoples front and center on the world stage, arguably for the first time.

In a recent essay in J Post, Fox eloquently opined on why it is so critical for the world to be aware of what indigenous citizens of the Caribbean face, especially in light of the escalating trend of ecological disasters rocking St. Vincent and other islands:

“Possessing direct experience of living through a natural disaster, as well as coordinating a response to one, I am deeply attuned to the difficulties facing the people of St. Vincent as they emerge from this crisis."

Fox's foundation- aptly named the Fox Foundation- has been one of the few local institutions to play a helping hand in coordinating localized relief efforts to rescue and stabilize victims.

Fox continued: " In 2019, our own organization, the Fox Foundation, was involved in taking private vessels to Abaco to assist with the evacuation efforts, as well as partnering with the Buddy Hield Foundation to distribute food, water, and generators to all those affected by the hurricane. It also launched a Go Fund Me campaign to reach donors from around the world, to help with the ongoing devastation that the island still faces today”
