The 2011 Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards ranked Barnsley Gardens Resort 35th out of 150 entries in the "Mainland US Large Resorts" category. Barnsley is one of only three Georgia properties to be included in this category for the third year in a row.

Considered by many to be the pinnacle of recognition from one of the world's most prestigious travel authorities and their savvy readers, the Readers Choice Awards evaluate hotels and resorts around the world on the following criteria: rooms, services, food/dining, location, overall design and activities/facilities. More than eight million votes were cast by Condé Nast Traveler readers to compile the 2011 awards list.
