Bespoke Festive Programming at Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo

Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo announces its luxurious slate of 2023 festive programming for guests and residents. Ideally situated in the Carre d’Or, Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo invites travelers to indulge in holiday extravagance with opulent adults-only and family-friendly experiences, and sumptuous menus at the new Les Ambassadeurs by Christophe Cussac.

A Scarlet Christmas Mood

Guests of Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo will be greeted with an enchanting Christmas scene upon arrival as part of its signature “Metropole Mood,” or themes of whimsical and poetic expression and imagination across its grounds from the lobby to staff uniforms, during a particular season. Artistic Director Perinne Guyonnet designed the hotel’s current Mood to celebrate the color red, transporting guests into a sophisticated and sensorial atmosphere featuring oversized silky, velvety and glittery red bows and ribbons throughout. Upon entering its doors, guests will marvel at a towering Christmas tree further sublimated by drapes of scarlet fabric.

An Exceptional Christmas Feast

Les Ambassadeurs by Christophe Cussac will welcome guests for unparalleled gastronomic experiences on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Guests may enjoy an elevated, unique expression of Mediterranean holiday-inspired delicacies on Christmas Eve, with highlights including Mediterranean Sea Bass and Capon à la Broche, set at 350 euros per guest.

Priced at 250 euros per guest, Christmas Lunch highlights include Blue Lobster alongside ravioli and spicy coralline, Scorpion Fish & The Watercress served with aïoli and chanterelles mushrooms, and Roast Duckling with pear and Coriscan honey. Here, guests will be presented with a remarkable Yule Log Trolley for dessert, featuring signature takes on the traditional French Christmas dessert. The cracker-shaped logs will be dressed in red icing to match the hotel’s decor, serving as an exquisite creation both visually and on the palate. Meticulously crafted by Pastry Chef Patrick Mesiano, the biscuit will offer a symphony of flavors such as lemon and olive oil, and a sweet strawberry-flavored confit.

An Extravagant Welcome to 2024

Executive Chef Christophe Cussac additionally invites guests to dine at Les Ambassadeurs on New Year’s Eve, which will offer a grand multiple-course menu set at 975 euros. Specialty dishes include Langoustine Carpaccio, Scallop Cannelloni, Pheasant Hen, Venison Chop & Fillet, and more. Restaurant-goers will be treated to a spectacular five-part show certain to leave them spellbound during dinner, featuring the talents of a renowned troupe including a violinist, saxophonist, and sensational singers and dancers. Genres will include Classical, Jazz Swing, Disco, and Latino et Pop Electro. Following an evening of festivities, on January 1, guests may also opt for a special New Year’s Day Lunch at Les Ambassadeurs by Christophe Cussac.

The onsite Yoshi, the only Japanese restaurant on the Côte d'Azur to boast a Michelin star, will host its Nenmatsu Dinner, which poetically translates to year-end, year-beginning, on December 31, 2023. Set at 350 euros per person, highlights here include an exquisite selection of sushi-sashimi omakase curated by Chef Takeo Yamazaki, Kagoshima Japanese Wagyu, and more.

Additional Hotel-Wide Festivities

The festive season at Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo would not be complete without dedicated experiences for its youngest residents. On December 24, a special crafting workshop will be held, in which children will have the opportunity to create personalized Christmas decorations with pinecones, and receive a surprise visit from Santa Claus. Another children’s workshop will be held on December 31, where they can create ‘magic greeting boxes’ to welcome the New Year.

During and following year-end festivities, guests can visit Spa Metropole by Givenchy, one of three Givenchy spas in the world, to indulge in relaxation in order to properly welcome 2024. Recommended treatments to close the year include Le Soin Noir Renaissance Absolue, an exceptional face and body ritual with revitalizing capabilities; the exclusive Givenchy Signature Massage featuring techniques inspired by Thai and Chinese medicine, intended to boost energy flow; and the New Givenchy Skin Perfecto Treatment, designed to reveal the skin’s natural glow as its name suggests.

Available at The Lobby Bar is Holiday-Inspired Afternoon Tea, featuring the colors and flavors of the season alongside the hotel’s selection of crisp blends and decadent bites. Celebrated jazz artist Jaffa will host three “Jazzy Evenings” at The Lobby Bar on select dates in December and January.
