Located in The Berkshires, a countryside playground just two hours from Boston in the mountains of West Massachusetts, Blantyre is one of New England’s most iconic resorts and estates. This April, the hotel’s new owner Linda S. Law, a long-time Silicon Valley real estate developer and investor, will relaunch Blantyre with Ocean House Management Collection following a multi-million pound refurbishment as the sister hotel to the acclaimed Ocean House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island.  Blantyre is a fabulous choice for discerning international travellers, adding a new dimension to the traditional New England route.

Blantyre’s complete renovation will see its 23 rooms, suites and four cottages redesigned as well as all public spaces, in a refined and elegant style. Interiors will reflect old world glamour with chic and contemporary touches to bring out the best of the estates’ historic architecture and charming, natural setting. Thoughtfully selected colours will be complimented by timeless fabric prints infusing shades of blues and greys with vibrant greens and lavender. Food and Wine
Dining will continue to be at the heart of Blantyre with the opening of two new restaurants. The Blantyre Bistro will serve classic dishes made from locally sourced ingredients in a lively French bistro setting. The restaurant’s striking architecture and original wood carvings will be accentuated by monotone shades of blues and greys, rich velvet, plush pillows and a modern seating area. The Conservatory at Blantyre will offer a fine dining experience and outdoor terrace overlooking the hotel’s immaculately tiered lawns. The Relais & Châteaux estate is also home to one of New England’s most expansive private wine cellars featuring 10,000 bottles and a new private tasting room.
Spa and Wellness
The hotel’s transformation will include the opening of a new spa providing a tranquil retreat where guests can relax. Home to four treatment rooms, expert therapists will be on hand to deliver soul enriching and body pampering treatments at the Retreat at Blantyre. New spa facilities will include a sauna and Eucalyptus steam room, relaxation lounge with Vitality Bar, state-of-the-art fitness centre and meditation garden.

Ocean House Management Collection
Blantyre will re-open as part of the Ocean House Management Collection, comprising of three privately-owned properties in Watch Hill, Rhode Island in the heart of New England and on one of the most pristine stretches of coastline on the East Coast. The collection began with the redevelopment of Ocean House in 2010 and the group grew after that to the three that is today following a $180 million investment by private ownership. The introduction of Blantyre will see the group’s first expansion into the Berkshires as it continues to lead the field in hospitality in New England.
