Blue Waters Resort & Spa Unveils Newly Completed Renovations
Following suit on previously completed updates to guestrooms and the fitness center, the latest upgrades provide a new level of luxury services and amenities with refurbishments to the premier Rock Cottage villa and Bartley’s restaurant, enhancements to the Blue Waters Kids Club, and introduction of a soon-to-launch bespoke wellness and nutrition program.

As part of the renovations, Rock Cottage has been overhauled to add a new infinity pool and covered space that can accommodate a six-seat lounge area and dining for 10, as well as incorporate new furniture and décor. Perfect for family reunions, couple’s retreats or high-profile guests looking for a more secluded stay, the villa comes equipped with up to five bedrooms, a separate living area, kitchen, private pools and numerous sun decks.

Bartley’s Restaurant, one of Antigua’s only restaurants offering air-conditioned dining, has received a new contemporary laid-back look. Utilizing design elements from nature, the revamped interior incorporates vibrant colors such as turquoise of the sea, hot pinks of the bougainvillea, lemon yellows of the frangipani and bright greens of lush foliage set against a natural timber floor and white painted wooden paneling. A blue limestone-topped bar with generous bar stools allows guests to linger over an aperitif or unwind with an after-dinner rum tasting.

The resort’s youngest guests will find enhanced amenities at the Blue Waters Kids Club, which will debut a new “secret garden” this December. Kids can also look forward to new activities in 2017. Open to children ages 4-12, the Blue Waters Kids Club is complimentary to resort guests. For children aged 14-47 months, Blue Waters also offers a crèche equipped with expert staff, located next to the Kids Club.

Coupled with the renovations, in 2017 Blue Waters will debut ‘The Living Retreat’ program in partnership with UK wellness brand Living Retreats. The new program will transform the resort’s wellness amenities to bring guests a series of personalized, bespoke wellness programs, nutritional guidance, fitness sessions and more.

“We’re delighted to debut these latest renovations as part of our ongoing commitment to enhance the luxury experience for all guests,” said Alistair Forrest, General Manager. “We are confident these newest enhancements will further position Blue Waters as one of Antigua’s premier resorts and will appeal to every type of luxury traveler. We look forward to having guests experience the new and improved Blue Waters.”

Additional resort upgrades, including an expansion of Carolyn’s Beach Bar into a casual lunch time venue offering healthy and light cuisine, are set to complete this season as well.
