Boca Beach Club, a Waldorf Astoria Resort Introduces Children's Library

The custom made Dr. Seuss-inspired library officially launched May 2012 with more than 100 titles including books from the Dr. Seuss and Stepping Stones collections and other souvenirs. The books cater to kids ages three -12 years old. Families can also borrow these books at no cost during their stay at the resort.

The Boca Beach Club will also introduce a “Story Time Corner” hosted by their team of experienced and animated Camp Boca counselors, dressed in popular character accessories. The new program was introduced this month and will be available throughout the summer twice a day and on weekends and holidays. On Memorial Day weekend, Camp Boca will present "Spring into Stories” and character appearances by Random House's popular storybook characters including Nate the Great, Pokey Little Puppy and Junie B. Jones. Other highlights for Memorial Day weekend include a Friday Night Dive-In Movie with Water Walkers and Water Balloon Slingshot Competitions and a Saturday Night – Kids Dinner Party. Later in the year, Boca Beach Club will feature appearances by Random House authors, as well as additional character appearances from the famed Dr. Seuss collection.

Camp Boca at Boca Beach Club is a year-round supervised daily service and recreational program for hotel guests geared to three distinct age groups: Boca Tots (ages 3-5) Boca Bunch (ages 6-8) and Boca Beach Combers (ages 9-12). It is open daily from 9am-4:30pm, with half-day and full-day sessions available for guests. Along with structured age-specific programming, Camp Boca offers kids junior golf and tennis clinics, sand castle building, kite flying on the beach, beach volleyball, fishing on the docks, croquet, culinary creations and pinata parties plus water sports, winter bonfires and s'mores.

Guests can also look forward to other activities this year. Boca Beach Club introduced a series of new guest programming initiatives including Kite Flying on the beach, Water Walkers, Coconut Postcards, Plaster of Paradise, souvenir Sandbox Creations, and special appearances by the world-renown Team Sandtastic to create sand sculptures for guests on the holiday weekends and offer sand sculpting classes at the resort.
