University Arms Hotel invites guests to take a trip to the historic town of Cambridge to enjoy a delightful coronation-themed afternoon tea at its flagship restaurant, Parker’s Tavern. The tea is inspired by tastes of British royalty and includes a traditional strawberry victoria sponge, named after Queen Victoria, a Darjeeling tea and honey macaron, a rose and pistachio Battenberg, which was originally created as wedding gift for Prince Louis of Battenberg and Princess Victoria (granddaughter of Queen Victoria), a royal gala apple crumble choux and a lemon custard tart, the late Queen Elizabeth’s favorite. Freshly baked scones, fit for royalty, will be served with raspberry jam and clotted cream, and served warm from the oven.
