KICK OFF THE CORONATION WITH A STAY FIT FOR A KING AT THE LANESBOROUGH

The decadent menu includes dishes such as roast Orkney scallop with potted Lytham shrimp butter, coronation crab salad, and a main of Hogget (mature sheep that is not yet mutton) – a known favorite of the King. To accompany this menu, expert mixologists on staff have created a martini-style special cocktail, ‘The King’s Coronation’ which consists of English vodka, infused with Fino sherry and citrus cordial, finished by a few drops of Peaty single malt whisky (a favorite nightcap of CRIII) and a gold leaf garnish. This cocktail will be served at both The Lanesborough Grill and at the property’s Library Bar – one of the city’s most celebrated drinks destinations.

Guests can also choose to add-on a special King's Coronation Sunday Lunch featuring large joints of the finest quality British beef, and a Champagne Afternoon Tea.

HOW: The Kings Coronation Celebration package includes accommodation, car transfers, daily English breakfast, special amenities, and a five-course dinner at The Lanesborough Grill. Just a stone’s throw from Kensington Palace and Gardens in a Grade-II listed Victorian building, The Milestone Hotel & Residences is no stranger to the royal family. This tailored experience will take guests on a journey through the eyes of the royals to London’s most historic sites. Accompanied by a personal host and expert royal guide, guests will experience a luxurious driving tour (in the Queen Mother’s Jaguar Daimler, if they choose!) through the city and visit iconic landmarks associated with all three King Charles. The first stop will show guests the royal warrant holders of St. James’s, where King Charles III still procures some of his essentials. At the Tower of London, visitors can see King Charles I’s coveted armor on an exclusive tour with the Yeoman Warders who will share their rich knowledge of the Crown Jewels and the Tower’s history. The presence of King Charles II, too, will be felt throughout the city, especially at the monument of the Great Fire of London, where Charles is shown in sculpture wearing his Roman robes. Later, guests will make a final stop at St. Paul’s Cathedral and the Guildhall Art Gallery to view the 1969 bust of the young King Charles III. The tour will allow guests ample opportunity for photos and short walks while they learn about our three Kings during this historic coronation year.

Visitors can also choose to add bonus experiences, like a private pre-opening tour of Hampton Court Palace that gives a glimpse of the not-so-typical royal palace and Henry VIII honeymoon destination. Or, they can tack on an afternoon at Kew Gardens, and enjoy a private tour with a horticultural expert to celebrate King Charles’s commitment to living harmoniously with nature. They can visit, too, the former home of King George III and Queen Charlotte — the hidden gem of Kew Palace.

HOW: Rates start from £1,900 for the experience which takes place from approx. 9am-1pm, bookable throughout the year and subject to availability. Junior Suites at The Milestone Hotel start from £850 per night on a bed and breakfast basis.
