The legendary Sardinian resort, Cala di Volpe, the holiday home to celebrities including Elton John, Heidi Klum, Beyonce & Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel, and many more, is celebrating its 60th anniversary with equally legendary partnerships, events and performances.
After a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the resort will revive its annual gala night on August 12th in special celebration of this anniversary. The evening will combine an exclusive concert by Imagine Dragonswith installations, additional artistic performances, and special effects as well as a sumptuous dinner by Area Costa Smeralda Executive Chef Maurizio Locatelli and Hotel Cala di Volpe executive chef Michele Bacciu. With breathtaking special effects, guests will become part of the show and will be involved in unexpected ways by engaging with the set design and the performance moments. A new spectacular show that confirms the 'Gala Night' not only as an event, but a fixed appointment in the Costa Smeralda summer season.
To honor this anniversary, Assouline, one of the world’s preeminent retailers for luxury coffee table books, has developed a 60th anniversary book dedicated to the Cala di Volpe lifestyle. The book features 176 pages of Sardinian glamour and highlights from the 1960’s through current day.
The resort’s Pevero Golf Club is celebrating excellence in a new partnership with Francesco Molinari, 2018 Open Champion Golfer and Ryder Cup star. Opening in late 2023, The Francesco Molinari Academy will be the Italian’s first teaching base and will be open to all members and guests of the Destination.
Nobu Matuhisa also visited the resort this summer to lead an exclusive workshop on the international influences of the 'Nobu' cooking style and shared the secrets of Nobu Matsuhisa’s cuisine including one of his most famous dishes, the Black Cod.
