Canoe Place in Hampton Bays Now Accepting Reservations from August 1, 2022

This summer welcomes the historic return of the beautifully restored Canoe Place. Prominently located overlooking the Shinnecock Canal, Canoe Place is in Hampton Bays, a hamlet of Southampton Town where friends, families and cultures have come together since 1697. Now accepting reservations from August 1, 2022, Canoe Place has been the first stop out east for city dwellers, Long Islanders, and cultural icons for over three centuries.

The restoration of the property includes 20 guest rooms, five rebuilt guest cottages, and luxury residences on nearly six meticulously landscaped acres that also include a 350-seat private event space and 90-seat restaurant with outdoor seating for 120 guests. Canoe Place blends the comforts and intimacy of a family home with the amenities of a boutique seaside resort, all meticulously designed as a gathering place for visitors and locals alike.

Canoe Place is led by established developers, Mitchell Rechler and Gregg Rechler of Rechler Equity Partners. Main Street Hospitality has been a pivotal partner in bringing their vision for the property to life. Silver Street Hospitality has been selected to develop and operate the culinary program in partnership with Main Street Hospitality. The property’s interiors, designed by acclaimed Brooklyn-based Workstead, are an homage to its storied past as a welcoming and dynamic waterside retreat. Onsite amenities will include a heated pool, fitness center, private boat slips, exclusive beach shuttle, and a full-service spa by ONDA Beauty.
