Car condo king taps Otis to engineer Bentley Residence's iconic car lift

Dezer Development, LLC announced the execution of an agreement with Otis Elevator Company for the design and construction of the patented, second-generation “Dezervator” automobile elevator system, featuring Otis SkyRise™ elevator technology, that will debut at Bentley Residences Miami, the world’s first and only Bentley-branded residential tower in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida.

“With our next-generation Dezervator technology and the proven reliability of Otis, we are elevating the entire residential experience,” said Gil Dezer, President of Dezer Development. “This partnership sets a new benchmark for luxury living, where innovation, convenience, and engineering precision come together.”

The tower will pair Dezer Development’s proprietary Dezervator technology with Otis’ legacy of engineering excellence, creating one of the most advanced automobile lift systems ever developed. Featuring Otis’ SkyRise elevator platform specially designed for the world’s tallest buildings, Bentley Residences will offer a seamless, fully automated parking experience that allows residents to drive directly from the street and park their cars in their private sky garages without ever leaving their vehicles.

Residents can park from three to seven automobiles within their homes, utilizing advanced automation and robotics designed to meet the highest standards of performance, durability, and safety. Bentley Residences will feature four Dezervator systems to streamline arrivals and departures while minimizing wait times, as well as four SkyRise passenger elevators and one hydraulic elevator.

“Working with Dezer Development, we are delivering advanced technology and engineering in a unique residential mobility solution, designed to help residents – and their vehicles – move smoothly and safely to their destinations,” said Haran Vela, Otis Executive Vice President of Engineering and Product Management.

The next-generation Dezervator system has undergone extensive global development and testing, integrating advanced robotics and engineering. Certain key mechanical components have been tested to withstand up to one million operational cycles, reinforcing durability and long-term performance. It exemplifies Dezer Development’s commitment to advanced technology, bespoke luxury, and user-centric design across its portfolio of residential projects. In addition to debuting at Bentley Residences, the Dezervator system with Otis SkyRise elevator technology will also be available for installation in other new luxury developments worldwide.

As one of the defining features of Bentley Residences, the Dezervator anchors the luxury lifestyle of the new condo tower designed by Sieger Suarez Architects in collaboration with Bentley Motors. Slated for completion in 2028, Bentley Residences offers 216 residences inspired by the brand’s signature craftsmanship and diamond-pattern detailing. More than 20,000 square feet of resort-style amenities include a private restaurant by four-time James Beard Award winner Todd English, a spa and fitness center, cinema, whiskey bar and cigar lounge, oceanfront beauty salon, and a landscaped beach club and pool deck with cabanas and full service. Pricing begins at $5.8 million.
