Carneros Resort and Spa – the 28-acre luxury resort nestled in Napa Valley’s wine region of Los Carneros AVA – has announced new experiential programming available now through the summer season. Offering the perfect backdrop for the ultimate Napa escape, Carneros Resort and Spa’s new seasonal programming allows guests to fully immerse in the destination, from wine tasting and beyond. Further elevating the resort’s luxury offerings, guests can indulge in everything from exclusive vineyard hikes in partnership with the renowned winery Cuvaison, to exploring the arts of wine blending or sabrage and touring the resort’s very own apiary followed by a personal honey and cheese pairing. In addition to the line-up of new and immersive programs, Carneros Resort and Spa recently debuted the Culinary Gardens which will be home to a variety of garden-to-table programming this spring and summer.

As Napa’s preeminent resort, Carneros Resort and Spa features 100 free-standing cottages with private backyards, the Spa at Carneros, two picturesque pools and award-winning culinary outlets, FARM at Carneros and Boon Fly Café. Further enhancing the resort’s renowned luxury, guests can enjoy the following programs this spring and summer:

Vineyard Hike with Cuvaison

In partnership with world-class winery, Cuvaison, guests of Carneros Resort and Spa can enjoy fresh air and sweeping vineyard views with an exclusive guided hike through its award-winning estate, located just a few minutes from the resort. Following the hike, guests will enjoy an Estate Tasting with cheese pairing followed by a boxed lunch provided by Carneros Resort and Spa. The tour is offered Friday- Monday and advanced reservations are required. Must be 21 to participate. $125 per person.

Secrets of Sabrage

The only thing more festive than enjoying a bottle of bubbly, is learning to saber the bottle first. The Secrets of Sabrage allow guests to interact with the resort’s expert beverage team to learn more about this storied technique while trying their hand at a personal guided lesson. As a memorable keepsake, guests will take home their own personalized saber from the resort’s Market to continue this festive celebration time and time again. $50 for hands-on lessons, inclusive of a bottle of champagne.

he Art of Wine Blending

No trip to Napa is complete without tasting and creation of a custom varietal. Carneros Resort and Spa will allow guests to play winemaker as they experiment with single varietal reds to create their own Napa Valley masterpiece. During the class they will discover the story behinds the grapes while mixing and sipping, exploring the many characteristics the varietals add to a blend. At the end of the class, guests will take home a 375 ml bottle of their custom blend to enjoy at home. Offered at $150 per person.

All the Buzz

Observe the resort’s tiniest worker bees in action. With All the Buzz, guests can take a scenic stroll to the property’s apiary to catch a swarm, see a Queen emerge, harvest honey, or inspect and divide hives. To complete the experience, guests will meet at the Gathering Table located in the Culinary Gardens for a honey and cheese tasting paired with a glass of Napa Valley wine. All the Buzz is offered at $50 for adults, children are complimentary.

The Wonders of Lavender

In partnership with Charsaw Farms, guests can enjoy the workings of a lavender farm in an up-close and personal way. Guests will be able to harvest, distill and create their own lavender essential oil while Charsaw Farms’ alembic copper still is on hand to demonstrate the art of steam distillation. While the lavender distills visitors will enjoy infused cookies and tea before heading home with their own bottle of freshly extracted essential oil to enjoy. Available by appointment. $125 per person includes own bottle of freshly extracted essential oil.

The New Culinary Gardens

Inspired by Napa’s agricultural heritage and located directly in front of the resort’s signature restaurant, FARM at Carneros the new gardens feature 50 varieties of organic herbs and vegetables as well as fresh eggs from the resort’s chicken coop – “Chick-Inn”- granting seamless access for the resort’s culinary team to showcase only the highest quality of ingredients year-round. This spring and summer guests can enjoy gardening and cooking demonstrations within the gardens, intimate al fresco meals at the exclusive “Gathering Table,” or indulge in pizza and wine pairings with the addition of the new pizza oven, Two Vines. No matter the experience, the new culinary gardens will offer a community for all to enjoy and celebrate the rich agriculture bounty that each season brings
