The Saint Petersburg Tsar Night

This special evening filled with entertainment, evokes the decadence and fascinating era of the tsars. The hotel will be decorated in a lavish ‘Saint Petersburg’ style and a live band and DJ will also be featured to welcome in the New Year from 7 p.m.

Executive Chef Simon Larese has created an exclusive five-course gourmet menu at Restaurant Mark’s for this special event which offers delicacies reminiscent of the era of the tsars. Guests are invited to welcome the New Year with a midnight Champagne reception on the roof terrace to take in the views of the city beneath the spectacular fireworks of Munich.

New Year’s Eve in the Wooden Chalet

Once more, Mandarin Oriental, Munich will offer guests the chance to enjoy a cozy evening around rustic Bavarian communal tables with a live DJ in the legendary rooftop Wooden Chalet with a view overlooking Munich. The tempting menu includes dishes such as Tartare of Scottish Salmon with Crème Fraiche and Caviar, Roasted Beef Filet and Braised Cheeks with Smoked Mash Potatoes, Glazed Vegetables and Red Wine Sauce, and Mille Feuille of Crepe with Orange, Nougat, and White Peach Ice Cream.

The menu is priced at $512 per person with correspondent drinks inclusive, a Champagne reception at midnight and a midnight snack.

The Bar and View Package

Guests may also make reservations from 9 p.m. onwards on New Year’s Eve in the Mandarin Bar for the Bar and View Package, which is priced at $369 for two people and includes:

• A bottle of Alfred Gratien Champagne
• A gourmet platter with exclusive culinary highlights
• The chance to join the midnight Champagne reception on the rooftop terrace

The Bar and View Deluxe Package includes all amenities from the Bar and View Package and a caviar platter deluxe after midnight on top and is priced at $499 for two people.
