The Napa Valley Wine Train, an engaging and memorable experience that echoes the glory days of train travel, is offering a New Year’s Eve package in partnership with its neighboring hotel, River Terrace Inn, a luxury Napa Valley hotel, to celebrate the arrival of 2019 on Monday, December 31, 2018. Beginning at 5 p.m. with a welcome reception at the train station featuring appetizers and a glass of wine or champagne, this package will include a three-hour journey through Northern California’s famed Wine Country, a four-course gourmet dinner prepared by Executive Chef Donald Young, and party favors aboard the vintage train to ring in the new year. Once the train returns at 10 p.m., passengers can continue the celebration with an after-party at ALBA, River Terrace Inn’s signature restaurant, and a stay in the hotel’s exceptional accommodations.
At the welcome reception in the heart of downtown Napa, guests can enjoy wine, champagne, and an enticing display of local cheeses and charcuterie, including Marin County Brie, Merguez lamb sausage, and country olive tapenade, along with Old Bay Poached Gulf Shrimp as a starter. The New Year’s Eve journey is available on the train’s Vista Dome Car, which offers a more private, intimate dining experience with panoramic views from the domed railcar, or the Gourmet Express, which features a luxury dining and lounge setting.
The after-party at ALBA restaurant, inside River Terrace Inn, will begin at 10:30 p.m. and feature a DJ, dancing, champagne toast, delicious small bites, and a balloon drop. Beverages will be available for purchase. Guests can customize their celebration and book tickets for the journey aboard the Wine Train, after-party, and accommodations at River Terrace Inn through the package, or only stay for the after-party when the train returns to the station. Guests who book the package to stay at River Terrace Inn have access for two to the after-party and can choose the room type of their choice for the night. The package is subject to availability, based on two guests who are 21 or older, and cannot be combined with any other offers or packages.
