Celebrate the Queen`s Jubilee with a Terrace Tea Party at The Elder, Bath

Step straight into your own period drama this Jubilee weekend with The Elder in Bath, who will be saluting the Queen with a regal street party in their gorgeous terrace. Celebrate the weekend with a classic afternoon tea showcasing the best of the British larder, as well as a resplendent seven-course tasting menu. With Bath being known as one of the most important centers of social life outside of London during the Regency period, what better place than the Elder to make a toast to Her Majesty.

Set up with tables of ten in the terrace, guests will enjoy some of the Queen’s favorite nibbles, including penny sandwiches and plain and fruit scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream. Of course, the best part of any afternoon tea is the sweet treats, serving cream cake with fresh strawberries, chocolate tea cake, elderflower custard tart, and cupcakes.

Celebrate in style with a complimentary G&Tea, just the way the Queen likes it, or a glass of fizz. The afternoon tea is priced at £32pp and must be booked in advance.

For those who want to stay for dinner, the team have created a special tasting menu in honour of HRH, a seven-course meal for £70pp. The menu will include dishes such as Jersey rock oysters a la Queen Elisabeth with prune mignonette, Dover sole with courgette, spinach, and sorrel velouté, and wild fallow deer burgers.

So put your glad rags on, immerse yourself in royal history and raise a glass.
