Christmas & New Year's in London at The Milestone Hotel

The Milestone Hotel in London is making all these things and more a reality for guests this holiday season.

Christmas Extravaganza

The Milestone is offering three packages exclusively for the season to ensure guests get the most out of their holiday. All packages include daily English breakfast, a glass of mulled wine or hot chocolate on arrival, champagne afternoon tea, a £50 shopping spree at Harrods or Hamleys, and a late check-out until 3pm. Guests staying on Christmas Eve will receive filled stockings. The most extravagant of the packages offers guests a horse-drawn carriage ride through Hyde Park and Regent Street to see the lights, a Bentley transfer for shopping to/from Harrods, Selfridges or Harvey Nichols, theatre tickets for two and a private capsule ride on the London Eye with a bottle of champagne. Festive Holiday Afternoon Tea

This holiday themed tea time will include tea sandwiches filled with Roast Norfolk turkey breast and cranberry, as well as coffee éclairs and traditional Christmas cake. Price per person starts at £40. The tea will be served daily at 1pm, 3pm and 5pm from November 28, 2015 to January 3, 2016 (excluding December 25, 2015).

A Very Merry British Christmas

On the night before Christmas, the Milestone is pulling out all the stops for revelers, serving a chestnut and forest mushroom velouté, pan-fried foie gras with pain épice crumble and a champagne and white truffle risotto. Also on the menu is a Ballottine of Aylesbury goose carved at the table, served with cranberry and apricot stuffing. For dessert, a Christmas Yule log or a warm pear and frangipane tart with mulled wine jelly and English custard. The meal is priced at £119 per person. Christmas Day comes with more than presents for gourmands, serving up a cep quiche with Cropwell Bishop Stilton crumbles and glazed Yukon carrots and chestnuts. For dessert, traditional Christmas pudding with brandy sauce. The decadent meal is priced at £190 per person.

New Year's Eve

Guests can ring in 2016 with pure indulgence by starting the meal with Pan-fried Orkney scallops and Sevruga caviar. The next course includes a crown-roasted breast of guinea fowl with a Port and Barolo wine sauce, and for dessert, Calvados ice cream or traditional sticky toffee pudding served with Devonshire clotted cream ice cream. Priced at £185 per person.
