Conde Nast Readers Vote 21c Top U.S. Hotel
More than 25,000 people voted for the awards, according to a news release.

The awards were based on quality of the hotel's rooms, service, food/dining, location and overall design.

A series of 19th-century tobacco and bourbon warehouses were transformed into the 90-room boutique hotel, which was opened in 2006 by Laura Lee Brown and Steve Wilson.

The hotel has 9,000 square feet of art exhibition space and the Proof on Main restaurant.
