Conrad Bali to Train Disadvantaged Women In Hospitality & Life Skills
As part of the three-month Vocational Skills Education Course, nine female students will receive hands-on training from the skilled team at Conrad Bali across many areas of the operation including culinary, food and beverage service, housekeeping and spa.

Bali WISE is an initiative of the Role Foundation which aims to break the cycle of poverty by equipping women in need with skills through education. Despite the high levels of regional and international investment in Bali's tourism sector, many people are not beneficiaries of rapid development and risk being left behind even as the island's arable land becomes degraded.

"This is a vital and urgently needed initiative and Conrad Bali is proud to get behind it one hundred percent," said Mr Kling. "The Chinese say women hold up half of the sky. And that's just as true on Bali. With our support of this partnership, Conrad too is doing its bit to stop the sky from falling on the heads of those already at a disadvantage in life.''

Upon completion of a three-month Basic Work and Life Skills Course on the 14th of April, the girls and women will immediately start the Vocational Skills Course at Conrad. Each day consists of half a day at Conrad learning the learning vocational skills and the other half day at the Silly Snail Campus, learning background skills in English and computers.
