Conrad Indianapolis Unveils The Gallery Suite
Formerly known as The Presidential Suite, The Gallery Suite now boasts high-end modern furnishings by Noguchi, ebony wood flooring, five custom-made light fixtures detailed with smoked crystal glass, silver leaf and a polished stainless steel finish. A state-of-the-art Bose® sound system also allows music or television programs of the guest's choice to resound through the 5,000-square-foot suite. By eliminating the dining area and desk workspace, the suite can now also comfortably accommodate parties and small receptions of up to 60 people.

Conrad Indianapolis worked closely with partner, licensed art appraiser and ModernMasters Fine Art Principal, Rhonda Long-Sharp to designate the most highly regarded pieces of their fine art collection for this select space. Pieces by the likes of Andy Warhol, Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso and Alexander Calder now grace the walls, giving guests the unique opportunity to privately “visit” with museum-quality works of art. In addition to these pieces, Indianapolis' own master screen printer and painter Walter Knabe – a favorite of public figures such as Madonna, Michael Jordan and Spike Lee – has designed and installed a custom-made wall covering in the master bathroom.

“My inspiration in the redesign of this premier suite was two-fold,” said Greg Tinsley, general manager, Conrad Indianapolis. “First, to celebrate A Fine Art Experience at the Conrad by featuring the works of world-renowned artists. Second, we purposely created a space that would serve as the ultimate in luxury for overnight visits but also as an intimate reception or celebration. While adding many contemporary attributes to the space, great care was taken to stay mindful of the timeless elegance of Conrad. We truly look forward to the opportunity of introducing The Gallery Suite and its magnificent energy to guests.”
