What makes South of Fifth a great place to visit and live?

Nestled between the ocean and bay, South of Fifth is one of the most in demand communities in Florida, offering a luxury lifestyle with everything at your fingertips. The upscale neighborhood is a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of central Miami Beach while still being close to the action. The area is home to some of the most expensive real estate in South Florida, so the landscaping and sidewalks are kept pristine. There are high-end dining options within walking distance, pristine beaches, an incredible boardwalk and marina, parks and great schools.

What are the best spots to eat?

South of Fifth is home to many of the most incredible restaurants we have in Miami. Prima Classe is where locals go to grab an authentic Italian coffee and breakfast. Carbone is one of the hardest restaurants to get a table, known for their spicy rigatoni. For the best stone crabs and key lime pie, Joe’s Stone Crab is an iconic spot. If you're not up for the wait to get seated, you can order from Joe’s Takeaway right next door. Prime 112 is a renowned upscale steakhouse that has great food and fun bar scene. Smith & Wollensky offers steak and seafood with amazing views, make sure to get a table outside by the water. Estiatorio Milos is the best for business lunch, they have a great fixed menu lunch special. I always order the greek salad, whole grilled fish and greek yogurt with honey. Celebrity-favorite CATCH just opened in the area and is always busy with a great vibe.

What are the best spots to spend time outdoors?

The beach, park and boardwalk. Locals love 3rd Street Beach, affectionately called “Little Rio” due to the Brazilian community often seen playing football or frescoball. This beach is unique because it’s adjacent to Ocean Beach Park, free of high-rise buildings that block the sun. There’s no beach service here, making it a true escape for sunbathing, surfing or enjoying volleyball. South Pointe Park is a beautifully landscaped park with walking trails, a fishing pier, kids park and splash pad, dog park and panoramic views of the Atlantic and the Miami skyline. It’s always filled with activity–people working out, roller blading, biking, doing yoga, and spending time with their families. I love watching the cruise ships sail by at sunset. If you like water sports, you can head to the Miami Beach Marina to rent a boat, jet ski, or go paddle boarding.

What is your favorite condominium building?

Continuum is my personal favorite—it’s where I live and have sold numerous residences. This 13-acre oceanfront property offers unmatched resort-style amenities, and an exclusive, community-driven lifestyle you can't find anywhere else. The property offers private beach access and service, three pools, a world-class spa and fitness center, three clay tennis courts, 24/7 security, a restaurant, valet and seasonal resident programming like sunset yacht cruises, mimosas on the beach, and access to pre-opening restaurant events.

What is the most exciting new development in the area?

Development in SoFi is rare due to limited land and strict building and height restrictions, which preserves the neighborhood’s exclusive appeal. Properties like Continuum continue to break records for value, as buildings of that scale cannot be replicated. Recent additions, like Glass by Rene Gonzalez and 321 Ocean are architectural masterpieces offering modern luxury in a boutique setting.
