Discover Dutch Art with Pulitzer Amsterdam

As spring unfolds, the city of Amsterdam transforms into a spectacle of vibrant colors, where the city’s picturesque landscape and colorful characters have inspired creators, craftsmen, and artists for centuries. Discover the beauty of Amsterdam’s Dutch masters – Frans Hals and Rembrandt van Rijn – as Pulitzer Amsterdam activates specialized museum and art packages for guests.

Travelers are invited to step back into the 17th century with an exclusive look at a Frans Hals, the infamous Dutch Master, with Pulitzer’s Finding Frans Hals package. From February 16 to June 9, 2024, the Rijksmuseum will exhibit works by the Dutch Master, and Pulitzer Amsterdam will grant guests with skip-the-line tickets to uncover the artist’s work, who became known for his loose brushwork and portraits of figures from all walks of life. Guests who book an overnight stay will enjoy breakfast at Jansz. and a Frans Hals inspired in-room amenity to be found upon arrival . To commemorate the artist, Pulitzer’s Bar is serving the Silver Highball cocktail, drawing on Hals’ use of daylight and silvery sheen often portrayed in his works. The Silver Highball, appearing unassuming, brightens the palette with floral notes of elderflower and lavender as the light fizz of soda water will make guests strike a pose fitting for a Frans Hals portrait.

Guests may immerse themselves in the world of Rembrandt van Rijn with a visit to Rembrandthuis Museum, devoted entirely to the Dutch Master, when booking the Discover Rembrandt package. With this package exclusive to Pulitzer, guests will receive VIP tickets to the museum to admire his collected arts and curiosities from all over the world, his atelier where he painted, and his home where he lived for nearly two decades. Guests who book an overnight stay for two are additionally welcomes to complimentary breakfast at the hotel’s signature restaurant, Jansz., and a curated walking route of the city to experience Amsterdam in Rembrandt’s footsteps. Inspired by Rembrandt is the Golden Champagne cocktail served in Pulitzer’s Bar, which draws on the artist’s use of gold leaf, mixing dried apricot cognac and the deep flavors of Angostura bitters to evoke the palette in the Master’s paintings. The package is available starting March 1, 2024, through December 2024.
