Acclaimed contemporary artist Sally King Benedict is honored to announce a partnership with Eden Rock - St Barths, a luxury 5-star resort and exclusive member of the Oetker Collection, located on the remote Caribbean island of Saint Barthélemy. Benedict’s art will have a permanent exposition in several of the resort’s suites and rooms, and a temporary exposition will display her art in the resort’s newly remolded Rémy bar from Feb. 1 until Feb. 8.
Benedict is an Atlanta-based contemporary artist known for her highly sought-after modern mixed media paintings. Pieces range from her well-known female visages to pure abstract, all of which display her originality and playful, adventurous approach to color. Benedict was named a “Most Stylish Southerner’ by Southern Living and has been featured in Elle Décor, Architectural Digest, Coastal Living, Domino and Garden & Gun, among others.
Eden Rock’s new Rémy bar pays homage to Rémy de Haenen, a sailor, aviator and visionary who built the Eden Rock Hotel. Benedict is following suit as she drew inspiration for her pieces from this St. Barths’ creative via integrated pieces and "faces" in the spirit of the luminaries that he brought to the island.
Eden Rock-St Barths has a long withstanding appreciation for art, as owner Jane Matthews doubles as the on-site art curator for the resort’s gallery, while art lessons with the “Artist In Residence” are available to guests staying at the resort. All of Benedict’s art displayed at Eden Rock – St Barths will be on consignment and available to resort guests.
