Eden Rock – St Barths Will Re-Open its Doors Nov. 20, 2019

Eden Rock – St Barths, the renowned Caribbean family property included within Oetker Collection’s portfolio of masterpiece hotels, will reopen its doors on Nov. 20, 2019, following an extensive two-year renovation and rebuild. The hotel is already busy taking reservations and warmly awaits welcoming back its loyal guests.

“We’re so looking forward to greeting our dear guests and friends. The rebuilt Eden Rock – St Barths will be stronger and better able to recover from any storm, all while preserving its one-of-a-kind atmosphere and precious heritage commenced by Rémy de Haenen in 1953,” stated General Manager Fabrice Moizan.

At the helm of the ER Design Group, Jane Matthews has found continuing inspiration in the island’s legacy and breezy ambience within the iconic family home. Furniture and accessories have been unearthed from local artisans while antiques and bespoke décor have been sourced from France, Italy, United Kingdom and the U.S. These extraordinary elements come together with the work of Architectonik St Barths and Martin Brudnizki Design Studio in London.

“Our family has chosen the option to remake or restore pretty much everything in all parts of Eden Rock - St Barths. We continue to focus our sights on being world class and remaining there. In this ambition, we are so thankful to belong on this fantastic island. There is nowhere like it in the world,” stated Jane Matthews.

All rooms, suites and houses underwent an entire redesign and replenish. Three new rooms, Tristan, Arthur and Theodore, have been built on top of the Sand Bar area. Three new breathtaking suites, Jane, Pippa and Vogue, can be sited on the Rock with superb seascapes all around.

The super-prime villas have been remodeled, comprising of six superb suites in Villa Rockstar, three equally appointed suites in the brilliant new Villa Nina and a design refresh in Villa Frangipani.

Eden Rock – St Barths will continue its 20-year commitment towards exhibiting art and artists throughout the property, all while continuing its long-term collaboration with the New York Academy of Art’s Graduate School of Art.

A slightly-enlarged Sand Bar Restaurant will be unveiled, hosting the brand new “Rémy Bar” which will offer the perfect mix of laid-back beach style and British-colonial character. All-day breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner will be available. Culinary king Chef Jean-Georges remains at the restaurant’s forefront, drawing his inspiration from his New York-based restaurants ABC, ABCV and JoJo.

The brilliant and brand-new Eden Spa is taking up residence inside the top of the Rock where the legend began. The new yacht-on-land themed sitting room and three discreet cabins offer an invitation for guests to enjoy a genuine Caribbean spa journey. Local brand Ligne St Barth will continue to offer a full range of treatments that source the island’s natural ingredients, while the Beach Spa cabana remains and offers guests a seaside oasis.
