In March 2013, after emerging from an extensive and meticulous restoration spanning over seven-years, El Encanto has choreographed extraordinary culinary, spa and travel offerings for discerning guests this fall.

Monarch Butterfly Migration Package

Marvel at the beauty of majestic butterflies and inspire a transformation with a memorable escape to El Encanto this fall. This exclusive package, valid from October 15, 2013 through March 15, 2014, allows visitors to experience the famed migration of the Monarch Butterfly at the nearby Goleta Butterfly Preserve while enjoying the casual elegance of Santa Barbara's premier resort. With rates starting at $570 per night, this package features luxury accommodations, 'Diamond Dusted Monarch' welcome cocktails, a 'Healing Cocoon' spa treatment, and a $60 daily breakfast credit. Additionally, visitors to the resort won't want to miss world-famous artist Damien Hirst's 'Psalm print: Verba mea auribu,' a tribute to the hotel's significant location along the butterflies migratory path, created on a silk screen with diamond dust and located in the lobby.

Soothing Sage Invigorates

Schedule a day at The Spa at El Encanto to experience the rejuvenating effects of autumn with this seasonal spa indulgence. Learn the secrets of eternal youth with an 80-minute session created with hand-picked sage from the lush gardens at El Encanto. The restorative $240 treatment features a body scrub, relaxing massage, and soothing scalp therapy to stimulate circulation and kick-start cell renewal for an all-over fall glow.

Seasonal Delights

Join Chef Patrice Martineau at El Encanto's Dining Room and Terrace as he serves up seasonal gastronomic delicacies. Chef Patrice's innovative fall menu offers contemporary California-coastal cuisine infused with Asian touches and French flair, served with a side of stunning Santa Barbara views. From Japanese herbs, including wasabi and burdock, grown in the Chef's garden, to local uni and prawns, to Silver Mountain Aged Cheddar courtesy of the hotel's very own Holstein cow, Ellie, the fall menu is sure to dazzle even the most sophisticated palate.

Savor and Sip Afternoon Tea

What do you get when you combine 200 pounds of California strawberries, sugar and the expertise of five-star chefs? A recipe for Afternoon Tea at El Encanto! Having once supervised the culinary offerings at The Savoy in London, Chef Patrice Martineau brings this legendary custom to El Encanto featuring hand-painted tea china by porcelain artist Lissi Kaplan. Sip on a curated list of loose leaf green, white and black teas while indulging in traditional delicacies including raisin-saffron scones, clotted cream, homemade preserves, savory egg salad, and crisp cucumber sandwiches, as well as a selection of freshly-made French pastries. This elegant tradition is served up every day between 2:00 and 4:00pm and starts at $20 for the 'Light Tea' service. Reservations are required 24 hours in advance.

Enchanting Treasures

Venture through El Encanto's seven-acre grounds with family or friends to hunt for five unique and colorful ceramic pigs hidden throughout the property. After a long journey from El Encanto's sister property, Casa de Sierra Nevada in San Miguel de Allende, these handcrafted pigs have found their permanent home in the lush, landscaped gardens of the resort. Keep a sharp eye out and capture a shot of these vibrant, multicolored swine.
