Emirates to Open Remote Luxury Resort in Australia

Emirates to Open Remote Luxury Resort in Australia
Located on the Great Dividing Range within the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area, a three-hour drive from Sydney, the resort will offer a glimpse into Australia's wildlife, history and cultural heritage.

As Emirates Hotels & Resorts' first hospitality development outside Dubai, the $94 million project is being built on the same principles as Emirates' Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa. Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa is fully integrated into its environment, incorporating and following environmental standards.

Surrounded by two national parks and located at the foot of sandstone cliffs, the resort will occupy just 2 percent of the 4,000 acres dedicated as a conservation reserve. The property will feature a spa facility and 40 free-standing suites with private decks and an indoor/outdoor swimming pool.

"A major drawcard for the resort, especially with overseas visitors, is the possibility to discover rare Australian wildlife, free-roaming in its natural habitat," said Joost Heymeijer, general manager of Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa. "Local and international guests and their families will be able to immerse themselves into an authentic and meaningful experience, all within the comfort and understated luxury of world-class facilities."

Wolgan Valley will also feature Emirates Hotels & Resorts' own Timeless Spa branded facility. With six double treatment rooms, the Wolgan Valley Timeless Spa will offer a distinct range of relaxation, rejuvenation and beauty therapies. Timeless Spa products, developed in conjunction with leading spa product manufacturer Babor of Germany, stand-alone Babor products, as well as products from internationally acclaimed Australian skincare and spa brand Sodashi, will be used and available for purchase at the spa.

Wolgan Valley will include food options with a major focus on Australia's produce. Activities will include guided wildlife walks, four-wheel-drive safaris, mountain biking, horseback-riding, star-gazing, heritage and aboriginal interpretative tours, guided photographic excursions and visits to the Wollemi Pine Grove.

To celebrate its opening in October, Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa is offering a complimentary third night to guests who stay two nights from Oct. 1 through Dec. 23. This introductory offer is applicable on all room types and is valid for new bookings only. For more information, call 011-971 4 303 4221 or visit www.emirateshotelsresorts.com.
