European Outdoor Elegance Finds a Home in the Hamptons: Royal Botania, Thayers, and The Roundtree, Amagansett Launch a Summer Design Pop-Up

This summer, the Hamptons takes center stage for an inspired collaboration between three heritage institutions in luxury, design, and hospitality. Belgian outdoor design house Royal Botania, the iconic Thayers and the award-winning hotel The Roundtree, Amagansett have joined forces to launch a bespoke outdoor installation that brings the leading trends of European design to the East End.

Set on the serene and expansive grounds of The Roundtree—a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World—the pop-up offers six outdoor vignettes that reimagine the possibilities of garden, terrace, and patio living. Royal Botania’s recent collections take center stage, thoughtfully styled by Thayers the longstanding design institution synonymous with outdoor living in the Hamptons. Their curated approach has long shaped how the Hamptons live and entertain outdoors. Their role in this collaboration reflects their ongoing influence and vision: blending European refinement with coastal ease to create environments that are both aspirational and deeply livable.

All three brands are independently owned, family-run businesses with a shared commitment to craftsmanship, design, and quality. Royal Botania, founded in Belgium in the early 1990s, has become a global leader in European outdoor furniture, celebrated for its award-winning, nature-inspired designs brought to life through meticulous craftsmanship.

The Roundtree, known as a secluded haven of low-key luxury and warm hospitality, serves as the perfect backdrop for this installation. Set amidst Amagansett’s historic farmland, the hotel has earned its reputation for hosting thoughtful, design-forward experiences that remain rooted in its sense-of-place. Set on two lush acres, the property features a collection of renovated cottages and houses, all clustered around a sprawling Great Lawn that provides a stage for guests to lounge, play lawn games, cozy up to a welcoming firepit in the evening, or just bask in the serenity of the celebrated destination. Its signature landscape—quiet, lush, and elegantly understated—offers a natural extension of the collaboration’s ethos.

On view are standout pieces including the Mozaix Lounge, with its grid-based design and customizable enameled lava stone accents; the Styletto Teak Dining Collection, a sculptural yet minimalist dining experience; and the Mambo Lounge, which blends curved teak frames with plush cushions for laid-back elegance. Guests can also experience Styletto Low Dining, a European trend that mirrors indoor comfort in an alfresco setting—perfectly suited to the relaxed rhythm of a Hamptons summer.

For those spending time in the Hamptons this season, this summer pop-up offers a rare opportunity to experience the very best of European outdoor living—reimagined through a distinctly local lens. The installation is open to guests and the public at The Roundtree, Amagansett, throughout the summer season from 18th June-1st September 2025.
