Experience The First Lady Suite at the Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C.

The Ritz-Carlton and SHOWTIME announce public access to a free, open house tour of The First Lady Suite at The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C., inspired by the new SHOWTIME anthology drama series The First Lady.

As part of the collaboration, The Ritz-Carlton and SHOWTIME are reimagining the iconic concept of presidential suites in celebration of The First Lady. Beginning in April, select Ritz-Carlton properties in Washington DC, Chicago, Los Angeles and New York, will feature presidential suites reimagined as The First Lady Suites, offering the public a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the worlds of the First Ladies portrayed in the series. At The Ritz-Carlton, Washington D.C., the First Lady Suite will evoke the Obama era, the Ford era and the FDR era and include set pieces and props from the production set of The First Lady.

The design will reflect décor from The First Lady that celebrates the Federal and Neo-Grecian design of the White House and showcases the timeless furnishings of 16000 Pennsylvania Avenue that would have been familiar to all three administrations. In addition, the hotel lobby will display elegant period costumes worn by Viola Davis as Michelle Obama, Michelle Pfeiffer as Betty Ford, and Gillian Anderson as Eleanor Roosevelt and offer a First Lady-themed cocktail or mocktail in its bars and restaurants.

During the public open house, visitors will be able to enjoy a guided tour through the suite and get a peek behind the curtain into the lives of the First Ladies in the series. The open house will be on Friday, April 15 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Ritz-Carlton Washington D.C. Members of the public can book their time slot here https://firstladysuitesdc.eventbrite.com.
