Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park Introduces Health & Fitness Program
The Fairmont Fit program, available to Fairmont President Club members, includes complimentary Reebok sports apparel and footwear, which is delivered directly to their guestroom for use in-room, in the gym or outdoors. The hotel also offers complimentary BMW Cruise Bikes for self-guided and guided tours each Tuesday at 5 p.m. The mySpa Fitness Studio features a fully equipped fitness studio including state-of-the-art cardiovascular equipment, circuit training, and free weights by Technogym and Precor. Personal training is also available.

Additional health-conscious initiatives available to both guests and employees are runs with the General Manager and Regional Vice President, Mark Huntley, as well as boot camp instruction and total body sculpting training from Phillip McDaniels, founder and CEO of PerfectFit, Inc. Approximately 20-30 hotel guests and staff gather at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a five mile run along inner Lake Shore Drive, as well as boot camp on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5 p.m. and Fridays at 6:30 a.m. The hotel also encourages guests and employees to enjoy energizing workouts on the Great Lawn at Millennium Park, supported by McDonalds and presented by the city's Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events. These free fitness sessions are held on weekends from 7 to 11 a.m., and include classes in Tai Chi, Yoga, Pilates and Zumba.

Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park also has several internal initiatives that seek to improve this organizational commitment to employee health and wellness. These include healthier cafeteria menus, on-site physical therapists and on-site personal trainers. The hotel also offers PRECare on-site prevention and physical therapy support for employees. This service educates employees about safe work practices and implements hotel-wide health initiatives, such as a “Couch to 5K” program.
