Father's Day Travel to Maui, Aruba and The Bahamas

Father's Day Travel to Maui, Aruba and The Bahamas

As we approach Father’s Day next month (June 19, 2022), here are a few destinations with perfect ways to celebrate Dad. Give Dad the gift of travel, whether it’s an over-the-top vacation over the holiday, the promise of a future trip, or even the adoption of a sea animal to preserve the ocean life in the Pacific!

Maui, Hawaii:

Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa (pictured) invites guests to celebrate Father’s Day with an over-the-top package. Fathers and father figures will be treated to a three-night stay fit for a king in the Presidential or Palace Suite. Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa encourages dads to expand their skillsets with private lessons in coconut husking, ukulele, and a cocktail sampler experience with a mixologist. Families can look forward to quality time over brunch at Swan Court, dinner at award-winning Japengo, and a private VIP table at the renowned Drums of the Pacific Luau with a private ‘fire knife’ lesson for the kids. This offer also allows fathers to challenge their families to friendly competition as they enjoy a full day ‘Ohana Tent rental that includes lawn games. Adventurous dads will jump at the chance to explore the Hawaiian sea, known for its expansive marine life, during a snorkel trip on Catamaran. The more laid-back fathers and their families can spend a night under Maui’s glittering skies with a NASA astronomer-led Tour of the Stars, during which they can see 80 of the 88 constellations. Guests can enjoy this package starting at $20,000, for up to six guests, by calling +1 808-667-4932 to book their stay.

For dads who can’t make it to Maui this June, families can support sustainability with distinctive gifts from ocean conservation nonprofit Pacific Whale Foundation (PWF). Ocean enthusiasts can surprise Dad with a sleek bottlenose dolphin, majestic humpback whale or endangered false killer whale adopted on his behalf through Maui-based PWF’s mission-driven, reimagined Adoption program. The initial donation of $80 includes an information packet on your adopted animal, certificate of adoption, phone wallpaper, sticker and a reusable tote bag. With an annual $80 donation, dads will receive ongoing updates about the adoptee, sighting reports, insider access to PWF Research activities, and exclusive invitations to virtual events and presentations on ocean conservation. Every dollar spent on this renewable, eco-conscious gift helps fund PWF’s Research, Education and Conservation programs. Best of all, it’s green, clean and plastic-free! Palm Beach, Aruba:

Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa and Casino is offering the ZoiA Men’s Face Facial, a Father’s Day Special at the ZoiA Spa. Dads are welcomed to the spa with a cold beer before heading into the facial which will replenish and diminish everyday stress by restoring balance. Crafted to meet the skincare requirements of men, Dad will leave feeling rejuvenated with radiant skin. The 75-minute treatment includes use of ZoiA’s steam room and costs $180.

In order to fully focus on their wellness needs, fathers can choose to drop the kids off at Camp Hyatt where Hyatt Aruba’s trained counselors will offer a variety of games, crafts, and fun activities. Kids will learn about Aruba’s natural and colorful beauty and native species (like divi divi trees!) while exploring the resort’s 12 acres. Half-day sessions include snacks and start at $40 for the first child and $20 for each additional child.

Throughout the day on June 19, guests can enjoy a special menu of grilled brats and beers at Palms Bar with live music all afternoon, and top it off with a specialty Father’s Day cocktail – the Orange Negroni – at Alfresco to truly make the most of the day.
