Female Michelin-Starred Chef Pop Up at Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo

This summer, Carme Ruscalleda, the world’s only seven Michelin-starred female chef, is staging a pop-up at Joël Robuchon’s Odyssey restaurant at Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo.

From now until August 31, Ruscalleda and her French and Catalan culinary team are serving modern dishes with a strong focus on local seafood and fresh seasonal ingredients. Highlights include:

  • Signature dishes from Ruscalleda’s three-Michelin-starred Catalonia restaurant, Sant Pau, and her two-Michelin-starred Barcelona restaurant, Moments will make an appearance on the menu
  • Several menu items are inspired by Spain’s Costa del Maresme region (including tender Ibérico pork with aubergine and paper-thin crispy potato, or cod with peppers and olives à la Mondrian)
  • Desserts are slated to include a dark-chocolate “collage” of creamy tonka bean with Heart of Guanaja ice cream, and flourless almond cake, as well as a summery Finding Nemo-themed pudding complete with “ocean-esque” ice cream and almond foam
