Fiji's Laucala Island Says 'Bula' to Singapore, The Lion City
With the advent of direct flights from Fiji Airways from April 5th, travelers from Singapore will find it easier than ever before to travel direct to the shores of Laucala Island – the island in the Fijian archipelago often described as ‘Paradise on Earth' – 3,500 acres of all-inclusive private island experience.

Fiji Airways will be flying direct from Singapore to Nadi twice-weekly. Special launch fares will celebrate the new route with prices starting from approximately SG$1,040 return*. Thanks to the discounted airfares, a three night stay in a luxurious one-bedroom villa with private pool and all-inclusive amenities (meals and sporting activities), private jet transfers, as well as return flights with Fiji Airways, is now possible for travelers from the Southeast Asian city.

The all-inclusive aspect of Laucala Island means that food and beverage in five award-winning restaurants and bars is included in the daily rates, as well activities including golf on the 18-hole championship golf-course, tennis, horseback riding along the beach, snorkeling and diving. A full-time nanny is included upon request, as well as a complimentary spa experience for all guests to help unwind after arriving.

From the beautiful beaches of Singapore to the pristine sandy beach of Laucala Island, guests can also get a taste of adventure by taking a spin in the DeepFlight Super Falcon, a two man micro-submersible and one of only three in the world and the only one available to the public, which is also included as part of the daily villa rate.

Laucala Island's ‘Welcome to Fiji' experience is the ultimate immersive cultural evening. Guests are gifted with a traditional Fijian dress to wear to the cultural Kava Ceremony and Lovo dinner. During the evening guests enjoy fresh and local food cooked in the Lovo - the underground cooking pit covered by leaves. Whilst the food is cooking, guests enjoy the Kava Ceremony in the Bure Kalou meaning ‘spirit house' where the native drink of Kava is mixed and shared among guests. Then traditional dance and music takes place in celebration of the local people and culture from neighboring islands.

The island is only a 50-minute plane ride away from Nadi airport and boasts 25 private villas comprised of one, two and three-bedroom residences, each with its own private swimming pool, tropical garden and spacious indoor and outdoor living areas. Villas also come with a buggy, free for guests to use to explore the resort at their leisure.

Laucala Island has its own 250 acre farm which provides over 80% of the islands ingredients used for dining at one of the five restaurants. Food lovers can enjoy five restaurants as well as special in-villa dining services and private beach-front dinners. Any dish can be requested to the in-villa Chefs, with guests from Singapore feeling right at home with a specially prepared dish of chicken rice if feeling home-sick!

Island rates start from SG$6,500 (US$4,800) per night for the one-bedroom villa and range up to SG$59,300 (US$44,000) per night for the 6-sleeper Hilltop Estate.

Those Singaporean travelers with a tycoon's budget also have the option to buy-out the entire island for a maximum of 72 guests at a cool SG$230,445 (US$170,000) per night.

Visas are not required for Singapore passport holders traveling to Fiji and visitors can stay for up to 4 months, leaving plenty of time for full rejuvenation on Laucala Island.
