Maid Marian 2 is a 108 ft luxury wooden yacht, steeped in history and known for its understated style and elegance. With contemporary furnishings and a sleek design, this charming yacht is a luxurious accommodation choice for an adventure and offers a private sailing experience beyond compare.
Originally known as Cleopatra, Maid Marian 2 was first launched in 1931 in New York. Having served in World War II as a patrol boat for the US Coast Guard, she found a mooring in Palm Beach, Florida until the early 1990s, when she was purchased by Adrian Zecha, founder and chairman of Aman Resorts of Thailand and a team of investors. She was then shipped to Phuket to be chartered in connection with the luxury Amanpuri Resort.
One of the charter guests was film director Roland Emmerich, who fell immediately in love with the boat and in 2007 decided to purchase her. He commissioned British designer John Teall to complete a dramatic refurbishment to return her to the original status. Since 2015, Maid Marian 2 moved to Greece and she is available for charter.
Maid Marian 2 has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests. The yacht has 5 tastefully appointed deluxe cabins (three ensuites) with contemporary decor. Each cabin will sport its distinctive accents and elements, all fitted in beautiful wood.
Featuring John Teall's unique design inside and out, the saloon is a unique combination of timeless elegance and stylish furnishing, with many original Art Deco pieces. The spacious interior is contemporary chic and offers great panoramic sea views. The stylish upper deck is laid out as a large, open-air space with a relaxed and comfortable lounging area.
