Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street Boston Wins Top Architectural Awards

Four Seasons One Dalton, the tallest residential building in New England and the tallest building constructed in Boston in over 40 years, just won several awards for its skyline-defining architecture.

The LIV Design Awards recognize One Dalton's ability to "stand out while respectfully fitting in" to the context of Boston. One Dalton won the categories of "Architectural Design — City Destination" and "Architectural Design Hotel – Luxury."

A lasting legacy of the late architect Henry N. Cobb, a Boston native and founding partner of the distinguished Pei Cobb Freed architecture firm, One Dalton has become a transformative presence on the Boston skyline. Working with local architecture firm Cambridge Seven Associates, Cobb crafted a modern skyscraper inspired by both Boston’s storied history as well as its progressive future.

Its “soft triangle” sculptural form rises from a strong granite base and strategically creates sweeping views while reducing corridors, to offer residents ultimate privacy. Cobb designed unique operational architectural bay windows to be rooted in Back Bay tradition and create multi-directional panoramas while maintaining a sleek and clean facade.

The development features 160 private residences atop a 215-room five-star Four Seasons Hotel.
