Vacationers can still plan a rejuvenating, naturally Nevis getaway at the renowned Caribbean beach resort, and enjoy delectable dining options using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, poolside Spa ‘treat'-ments, and join in nature hikes and family activities.
"We have a wonderful day planned to encourage guests and team members to take advantage of Global Wellness Day and to start new healthy routines," said General Manager Ed Gannon. "We are lucky to call home an island that has so much to offer. From abundant fresh and natural local fruits, vegetables and fish, to the wide range of invigorating Nevis experiences out in the clear Caribbean air. With all this, it can be Wellness Day, every day here."
For Global Wellness Day, the Resort will spotlight a range of its healthful dining options. Guests can refresh with a strawberry- and cucumber-infused lemonade elixir in the lobby as they take in the views from the Great House. Or, they can savour the vibrant flavours of the island in their rooms with the Local Fruit and Juice Sampler, which showcases a range of Nevisian-grown fruits, such as coconut, passion fruit, star fruit, guava, and mango.
Neve breakfast restaurant will feature a selection of energising Beet and Lemon, Kale and Honey, or Mango and Ginger juices, while the lunch menu in Cabana beachside restaurant includes an Amaranth and Watercress super-food salad in an herb-garden vinaigrette, made with fresh herbs from the Resort's garden. For dinner, the Jerk Spiced Grouper (with Roasted Pumpkin, Shaved Baby Carrot, Asparagus) with a Sour Sop Glaze in Coral Grill, or Mango restaurant's Coconut Sous-Vide Poached Lobster (with Braided String Beans and Plantain Succotash) in a Passion Fruit Gastrique offers healthier preparations of irresistible, fresh and authentic island flavors.
For the Resort's young guests, the complimentary Kids for All Seasons program will host an all-day Global Wellness Day Camp, focusing on the benefits of healthy eating and exercise. Local children are also invited to join in the Day Camp, which will include an on-property nature walk, wellness-themed crafts, natural snacks and an educational video about healthy dining. Additionally, parents are invited to join kids in a mid-day family exercise class to emphasize the value of active living.
Four Seasons Resort Nevis also has planned activities throughout the day to encourage circulation and respiration in the tropical island paradise. Focus mind and soul in a sunrise, beach yoga session facing the Caribbean Sea; or find some friendly competition in a 500-yard, guest and employee swim along Pinney's Beach from the Resort's on-property pier.
The Spa team will offer complimentary poolside foot massages, which is known to encourage blood circulation and lower blood pressure. Additionally, guests can opt for a special Global Wellness Day, head-to-toe revitalizing massage, utilizing a unique oil created with fresh herbs picked from the Spa's dedicated herb garden.
Employee Wellness Day
Four Seasons Resort Nevis is also encouraging employees to learn about and try new practices that could turn into an ongoing healthier lifestyle. As the centerpiece for employee wellness, the Resort is hosting a health fair where team members can get a variety of health tests, ranging from blood pressure to diabetes, and learn about healthy lifestyles. The health fair is planned for the Friday prior to Global Wellness Day in order to offer the most access for all employees. The Resort's staff and Senior Management will also gather in a Saturday sunrise stretching session, led by the Golf Operations team. Additionally, the on-site staff cafeteria will feature a fresh juice bar all morning and feature a healthy menu of all Nevisian ingredients.
