Riviera Season Returns: Hôtel Belles Rives and Hôtel Juana Unveil 2026 Highlights in Cap d’Antibes

Riviera Season Returns: Hôtel Belles Rives and Hôtel Juana Unveil 2026 Highlights in Cap d’Antibes

The legendary Hôtel Belles Rives and its sister property Hôtel Juana welcome guests back for the 2026 season with new culinary talent, cultural programming, and Riviera-inspired experiences across Juan-les-Pins.

Perched above the Mediterranean in the former Villa Saint-Louis, where F. Scott Fitzgerald began writing Tender Is the Night, Hôtel Belles Rives remains one of the Côte d’Azur’s most storied Art Deco landmarks and one of the Riviera’s last privately owned grand hotels, still owned and operated by the Chauvin-Estène family four generations on. Just a five-minute walk away in Juan-les-Pins, sister property Hôtel Juana continues the Jazz Age spirit with its vibrant social atmosphere and garden-side charm.

Each spring, the Riviera season returns to the terraces of Cap d’Antibes and the pine-lined avenues of Juan-les-Pins—morning swims in the Mediterranean, long seaside lunches, and evenings that stretch late into the night beneath the Côte d’Azur sky.

The 2026 season brings new highlights including beachside cinema under the stars, seasonal culinary additions, and cultural gatherings and celebrations continuing a tradition of Riviera hospitality that has defined these iconic properties for nearly a century.

Renewed transatlantic access to the Côte d’Azur, including Delta’s new Boston–Nice route launching this spring, is also helping drive interest in literary travel and heritage destinations like Cap d’Antibes.

WHERE TO STAY: TWO RIVIERA ICONS

Hôtel Belles Rives: Overlooking the Mediterranean in Cap d’Antibes, Hôtel Belles Rives, once the Fitzgeralds’ residence, remains a defining symbol of the Riviera. The Art Deco property offers 43 rooms and suites, including the legendary Zelda suite, a private beach and water sports club (the actual birthplace of waterskiing), the Michelin-starred La Passagère led by Chef Aurélien Véquaud, and the iconic Bar Fitzgerald, amember of Europe's exclusive circle of Historic and Heritage Cafés. The hotel is also home to the Valmont Beauty Corner, offering signature treatments from the Swiss skincare house.

The hotel and Bar Fitzgerald opened for the season on March 6, with La Plage beachside restaurant opening April 10 and La Passagère and the Beach Club opening April 28. Key moments throughout spring and summer include:

New Beach Cinema open-air screenings along the Mediterranean
New pastry chef Johann Kleiber introducing seasonal desserts and Riviera-inspired creations
New Belles Rives e-boutique featuring bespoke items inspired by the hotel’s Art Deco heritage

Hôtel Juana: Located in the heart of Juan-les-Pins, Hôtel Juana has long embodied the Riviera’s Jazz Age glamour. The Art Deco hotel offers 40 rooms and suites, a marble pool, and access to the beach and watersports at sister property Belles Rives.

While the restaurant PASEO opened on March 7, the hotel is opening on April 17. Key moments for the 2026 season include:

New Family Suite, designed for multi-generational Riviera stays
Friday DJ evenings, bringing a lively social rhythm to Juana’s garden terrace throughout the summer

Together, Hôtel Juana and Hôtel Belles Rives provide an ideal setting for destination weddings, honeymoons, and private Riviera celebrations overlooking the Mediterranean.

WHAT TO EXPERIENCE:

The season’s cultural calendar continues the Riviera traditions that have long defined Belles Rives and Juan-les-Pins.

  • Parcours Céramique (April 24–26): The celebrated ceramics auction returns to Hôtel Belles Rives, presented by Pichon & Noudel-Deniau and featuring works by legendary artists including Picasso, Capron, and Jean Cocteau.
  • Prix Fitzgerald (June 12): Founded by hotel owner Marianne Estène-Chauvin, the Prix Fitzgerald honors a novel or short story that captures the elegance and spirit of the Riviera and the literary legacy of F. Scott Fitzgerald. Past American laureates include Richard Ford, Joyce Carol Oates, Quentin Tarantino, Jeffrey Eugenides, and Amor Towles.
  • Bal des Rêves (September 12): One of the Riviera’s most glamorous charity galas returns to Hôtel Belles Rives for an evening of philanthropy, elegance, and celebration.

Guests can also enjoy bespoke Riviera experiences curated by the hotel’s Clefs d’Or concierge team, from private boat excursions and Mediterranean fishing trips to beach picnics, wine tastings, and cultural discoveries throughout Antibes and the Côte d’Azur.

Through its partnership with the historic Le Provençal residence next door, Hôtel Belles Rives also extends select lifestyle and concierge services to residents of the restored landmark, continuing a shared Riviera legacy between two of Cap d’Antibes’ most iconic Art Deco buildings.
